Every winter, this problem returns so I'm trying to get prepared!
I have naturally curly hair, but once a week I flat-iron it and wear it straight for the next 2-3 days. My hair is a couple inches past my shoulders. When it is straight, it is SO staticy! It isn't like this when it's curly.
I use lots of conditioner on the days I get my hair wet. I've tried running dryer sheets through it (this only helps a little). I live in CO so I'm sure our super-dry climate doesn't help. Any products or tips for me?

I was going to suggest the dryer sheets, but that doesn't seem to be working for you. I use Bumble and Bumble's Brillantine. You put a small amount on your hands and run it through dry hair. You could try and anti-frizz product, but those tend to be oil. Moroccan Oil might be something else to try since I find it to be less oily than the anti-frizz products. Also, Biomega's Behave Smoothing Elixir may work too. It can double as a heat protectant when you flat iron. My salon can not keep the Biomega in stock. I have to call a couple of weeks before my appointment when I'm out to reserve a bottle. It's great stuff.

I'm having this very same problem! My hair is super staticky today, ever since I straightened it. Which is odd, because it's super humid here today (Upstate NY). When I curl my hair it is not like this.

I've also tried the dryer sheets and it's only a temporary fix. I can usually spritz some hairspray on a brush and brush through my hair and it'll stay for a while. Not looking forward to the static I'll probably have this winter!
I swear by Humectress by Nexxus. I've been using it for years and it works wonders on taming flyaways. I use a little as a leave-in conditioner, after I dry, and it gets rid of all my static issues.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm going to get the Static Guard, some Moroccan Oil, and wood comb (I read somewhere else that plastic is bad for staticy hair). Thank you!
