I am also almost 5'10" and have the hardest time finding shorts. I have tried on shorts from every store known to man. I found these shorts at Walmart and they are life changing. They fit like they were made for me. They are long enough and they have a nice stretch, but don't lose their shape. They are also dirt cheap! I wore them during our Disney trip a few weeks ago and they were so comfortable. Who knew I'd finally find the perfect shorts at Walmart!
Love these shorts! I have very muscular thighs and short legs. These are the only shorts I will wear that don't make my thighs look even bigger nor do they make my legs look shorter than they are.

I just got these and really like them. They have an elastic waistband and don't ride up. They're obviously not your typical shorts, but I think they look fine with a tee or casual top.

Just like jeans, express shorts are all that fit my legs well. I carry all my weight there and their shorts fit great. Old navy is hit or miss if they'll fit

I'm 5'9" and long legged but they're big legs and a bit lumpy. I got some soft shorts similar to the Old Navy link last year but I bought them for $14 at Ross. I sized up so they'd hit at mid thigh, not shorter. I only wear them when it's super hot but they're good to have. Otherwise I live in bermudas or sundresses.

I just got some Riders bermuda shorts at Walmart. They were less than $15, and have a slight stretch to the fabric. They come in several colors, along with a light and dark denim.
I'm not well versed in shorts, even though I live in Texas. I hate my legs so I've always stuck to skirts and dresses. I do like the ON bermuda shorts. Target shorts do NOT work for me at all. I'm a 16 and got an 18W and they don't fit at all. Like, can't even zip them up.
Target pants and shorts make me feel like shit about myself. I feel like their sizing is sooooo off.
Ditto. I'm a size 6 or 8, more 8 over the last year. Athletic with a layer of fat. But seriously a size 8 and cannot buy any bottoms at there.
I feel like people who are wearing 4" inseam shorts do not really know what big thighs are or you have no cellulite. There is no way I could wear shorts that short. I have very long legs and while I don't regularly wear shorts, I need an 11" inseam minimum to feel comfortable. Bermudas only.
I think I am only comfortable with longer length/bermuda shorts. I have never found a pair of shorter shorts that did not ride up on me (I am a size 24). Even when I was a size 12/14 many moons ago, shorter shorts were never comfortable on me.

I have no shame and will be sporting the Old Navy drawstring linen shorts all summer. They're not Bermuda style but they come down low enough on the thigh to cover the worst part.
