We just had a moving company rep through here for an estimate and I realized how much crap we have...and a lot of it is out because of the kids and I'm in the middle of packing boxes.
Am I the only one who can't keep the house neat? It's clean, I just can't keep it uncluttered!

We are refinancing our house and we had it appraised this morning. We've spent the better part of a week cleaning or trying to keep it clean. The guy probably thought we had done nothing! We have so much stuff and no where to put it! I also suck and thinking of where something should go so when I start organizing I get half way through and find something that I don't know where to put and that completely derails me.
Mine is neither clean nor neat. Upstairs is a disaster with clothes in piles on the floor, downstairs has jackets, backpacks, shoes, and toys everywhere. Sigh.

My house cleaner is coming today so it will be very clean! lol I really hate clutter so I try to keep it contained to just the play room. Somehow school papers always end up on the counter though. It was harder when the kids were younger too.
Horrible. So messy. Actually I just spent allllll morning totally picking up the kids room but we just have so much shit and it's always everywhere! Clothes and toys are the worst and I can never find anything. I am praying their room stays nice for a while since I got rid of a lot and organized it
I hate clutter so my house is *usually* tidy for the most part. I don't like things all over the floor and the tables and countertops. Now dust and dirt and whatnot, that's another story! I'm not great about keeping the house CLEAN...but I do keep it tidy enough.

Our house is cluttered, but manageable. I am a neat-freak and clutter makes me nervous. I try to keep a handle on the piles of junk, but some days the junk wins.
DH is a pack-rat, so we have tons of stuff that we need to throw out, donate, list on Craigslist, or have a yard sale.
I've actually spent the morning trying to clean out his closet and organize our dresser and chest. My goal is to have every room decluttered and sorted before my maternity leave is over.
I'm slightly OCD about clutter and messes, so my house is pretty clean. one of my guest rooms, however, looks like a bomb went off in it. Same for my closet and car. Lol. Otherwise, my house is tidy:)
LOL for days. My house is a mess. We actually keep the clutter much more contained now that we have a decent amount of space but it is dirty. I won't even pretend it isn't.

My house is pretty neat and tidy. As neat and tidy as I can keep it with all the baby gear and toys. Most of the kids toys are in their rooms or in the basement playroom but there are still some strewn about the family room. I tried to instill a "no toys in the living room" rule but I was kidding myself. I feel very uneasy when my house is cluttered so I try my best to keep up with it. My car is usually a mess.

I try to keep it tidy. Christians room can get messy with toys but it's always cleaned before bed. I do feel like it's a little cluttered with all the baby gear (swing, bouncer, play mat, jumperoo, rnp for naps) but it will eventually go away.
I get anxious with clutter so it's usually okay about that. Like very few kids toys in the main living areas and I clean off counters/tables every day. We don't do as good of job cleaning the bathrooms and floors as we should though.
It's usually pretty clean - but we currently have the entire basement plus the kitchen under renovation, meaning all the stuff from those areas is packed up/distributed in other parts of the house. Plus you can't even get into our garage because it's full of lumber and random construction stud. It's driving me crazy. 4 more months until I can get things back to normal...
My house is bad and not just like how you say it's messy when there's really like 2 toys on the floor. We have 3 dogs now so I mostly blame them for the actual dirt. M has a ridiculous amount of toys I really need to start getting rid of it.

The living room is ok and the rest of downstairs is currently passable since we have therapists coming in weekly now. Upstairs is a mess. I closed our bedroom door on Saturday when ILs were over babysitting since the floor was just covered with clutter that I tossed in from downstairs. I was so embarrassed when I noticed after they left that MIL had cleaned our room.

I like having the kitchen and living room relatively clean. The playroom still hasn't been organized since the move and is a disaster. My office is also a disaster mainly because I need to paint before I can finish unpacking all the crap.
