Update to last week's pizza driver forgery thread:
The officer called me yesterday and asked me to fill out a written statement because they are charging her with forgery and theft. She is apparently still denying it and has a lawyer now. He said there were "several" instances, all were $5.00 each with a forged credit card slip like mine. The pizza shop is still looking back at older receipts to see if they find more examples. I'm not sure what happens next.
Also-is the pizza good? Would you order from there again if no fraud is involved?
Yes it's good, but it's a chain. Our small town has about 7-8 pizza places. My favorite family owned one doesn't deliver, but that night I needed delivery since I was really sick and DS needed to eat.
Is the owner going through the reciepts? What if someone else, like the owner, was doing it on multiple employee transactions. It would behoove him to only show hers and says it's all her, instead of showing it happening with other employees which might clear her.
Of course multiple employees could all be doing it too and she is still guilty.

You guys are so creative! I have no idea. The police are handling everything, so I don't know all the details. This pizza shop has been in town for 20 years and always owned by the same guy. He seems like a nice, trustworthy guy and always supports the schools and community events. I don't get the feeling he's involved, but stranger things have happened.

WHAT?! You mean you aren't Nancy Drewing this shit? That's deplorable.
Depending on the outcome, of course, we are gonna need some credit here if a major scam gets uncovered, tripleshot! "You see, Officer, I was retelling my message board the adamant protests of delivery driver. They skillfully deduced it was the owner, who was profiting from multiple transactions!" BumBumBUHHMMMM!!!!! I just wanna see the newspaper article I.e. Receipts!
