I just realized that every time I get on the scale, I suck it in. Derp, and lol for days that my subconscious apparently thinks it can fool the scale like that.
In the last two days, I have filled our shredder twice. And I still have like 3 bags of stuff to shred. Sighhhhh. I hate paper.
And finally, I got a steamer, I started using it, and now it's leaking badly. R thinks we got a defective unit, so now we have to go exchange the damn thing.

I lost my cool this morning. It was like an avalanche of me having to hold everyone's hands through our normal morning routine that hasn't changed all year and I feel really bad. Like C helped W into his car seat and helped him buckle him without a word and that is not typical at all and it made me feel even worse, so I cried on the way to work. I went on a walk with my H and told him all about what happened and told him I'm overwhelmed and I am having trouble coping this week and instead of taking that as "you're lazy and I hate you" like it sounded, he hugged me and said we would figure it out. SO that's a bonus.
I really want a new backyard after seeing Missy's pictures.
I'm kind of over planting my flower pots and I've only done about a third of them. I feel like I've spent a small fortune on flowers and dirt lately and not a whole lot to show for it.
The propane tank just got hooked up at the house. Now just waiting for inspection and they will fill and test it. DH is excited b/c he is going to have the gas grill hooked up to it so no more tanks for that. Eventually we want to put a patio w/firepit too, so he's all excited to have it (nevermind that we have a fireplace, you know, inside).
I'm debating painting the inside of our front door for something different. I think the navy will work well and work with the rug I think I'm getting now. I know I still haven't picked a foyer rug. Now I'm thinking more navy and yellow.
I would really love to go all yellow, but I'm not sure if DH would go for it.
monsterz ahaha, that's funny. Let's have a BBT themed food party!
H hired some guys to come do lawn care. They said it would take 1.5 days. I came home yesterday to a fully mowed down jungle of a lawn, hedges half done (and BEAUTIFULLY sculpted) and one of the awful beds half weeded!! I think they're charging us like $600 and looking at what they've done so far, I think it's totally worth it!! I feel stressed when our yard looks like crap but it's all too much for me.

I think I'm the type of person who would foster cats, but not be able to let go so eventually I'd have fostered like 30 cats but none of them left again. I would be a cat hoarder.
Also there was talk on MMM about a mac and cheese potluck and now I want to eat mac and cheese. Like I need a reason for a mac and cheese potluck.
I just found out that our fabulous neighbors across the street will likely be moving out of state for a new job.
They are seriously the best neighbors ever, and they are pretty much our only friends here. She is actually my only friend. It would be wrong to hope that he doesn't get the job or that the offer sucks (which it won't), so I guess I will just hope for them to get assigned a location better suited to them than what it looks like the short term location will be.
Our other neighbors are great neighbors, but they aren't really friends as much as friendly, and a couple of them (my favorite next door neighbor and the neighbor across the street from her) are both planning to sell and move to something smaller when the market goes back up again.
In the H&G related news, we have engineer's drawings for DH's office and I am pretty sure that they have gotten approval and have started building it offsite, and that it is scheduled to be installed mid to late June. DH keeps forgetting to keep me in the loop, but I know that he scheduled the electrician already.
We're getting ready to order the composite decking material for the courtyard/front porch decks. I think we have our design figured out (at least close enough to estimate sq footage), so now we just have to decide which length boards, which will determine the exact color we get. We are trying to decide between two similar brown boards....one is a close match to the interior floor color, and the other is similar, but maybe slightly lighter/brighter. Either will give the look/feel we want, so I think board length available will be the determining factor.
