My heart hurts for her. I was met with same reaction when I tried to reach out about autism. Bernie is on the autism caucus but you'd never freaking know it. I was told by his campaign office local to me that autism isn't a vote deciding issue and wasn't important. The fish rots from the head down.

JFC! How lucky you are that they decided for you what is and isn't a voting issue. Fuck that shit

Because...words. I have none.
He needs to just stop already. It's not always about money.
Again, another clear reminder why I am an unapologetic and out HRC supporter.
I've had two of my kids' classmates' moms whisper to me that they like my "HillYes" bumper sticker and applaud my bravery,
Sigh. This shouldn't require courage. It's a bumper sticker. Darn you, Bernie bros for making people scared to put their candidate of choice on their car.
Another mom got out of her car to thank me for being brave enough to roll around our Dallas suburb with my HillYes sticker. I'm both proud and sad at the same time.
This is not the same person who posted the blog. It's her friend.
I just went down the rabbit hole of the blogger's FB and wow so interesting. She is one kick ass woman. Is she secretly a CEPy? (Anytime I find a kick ass woman I wonder if she is one of us, lol).
I can't tell what caused her disability because like you said, she has deleted her about section.
Focusing on prevention means asking: Why are people turning to opioids, turning to heroin, in the first place? What should we be doing differently to keep that from happening? One big thing we can do, we must do, is to address income inequality in this country. We have to make sure hardworking people can find a job, that the job they find pays a livable wage, and a fair wage. Today, unemployment and underemployment remains far too high, particularly among our country's young people.
I just love how he completely ignores the opioid epidemic is through all socioeconomic classes. Yes, poor rural areas seem to be being hit especially hard but social class is not protecting people from addiction.
