Where to take family pics in and around Seattle?

I want to do some family pics (appropriate for blowing up and framing and Christmas card pics) with h and Betty.

Does anyone know of some cool places in and around Seattle where we can do this?

Lincoln Park, Golden Gardens, Alki, those are all good. Really, when we get Tman's photo done outdoors, any reasonable park will do. The time of year makes a difference, the lighting, and the photographer are really so important. Last year, kwpn took Tman's photo at just a local park. The lighting was good and it was fall, and she did a great job. The actual locale was really such a minor part. Can you ask your photographer where he/she thinks is best?

Golden gardens, the locks, random places in your area. Love family photos that dont seem staged outside a cafe/coffee ship.

pp's have good suggestions...but in addition..i would go to your photogs website (jgg, right?) and look for engagements, or portraits, and look at where they took their pictures..

I'll echo all of the PPs suggestions and add the Kirkland waterfront. Heritage park is kinda cool because there's a big grassy area, the patio behind Heritage Hall, views of the water, and it's a quick walk down to the waterfront or downtown if you want to change up the scenery. I run through there most weekends and there is ALWAYS a family or a couple getting pics done there.
