DD gets PT at daycare. I get a copy of the day's report and I'm welcome to call if I have questions or concerns. They do not contact me about the visit.
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. And even if your therapist does, she may not have had a chance to follow up with you yet if she's got kids back to back/up to her eyeballs in documentation/etc etc. If daycare isn't able to give you feedback and there's not a summary sheet when you pick C up today (with what they worked on, how she did etc) I would absolutely ask the therapist if she'd be able to give you a quick call, send an email, or leave some sort of a summary note in her cubby at DC.
P's EI therapist used to text me a summary near the end of the day.
Now he gets therapy at school and they check in every few sessions now that they're in a groove and I know what they're working on. I can always email for a check-in if I want though.
When I did therapy at preschools, I left a summary of the visit for the parents. Once per month, I'd arrange a session that allowed that parent to attend (either the parent would come to daycare or I'd do it in the evenings).

She told me she'd leave a form that says what they worked on, outcomes, observations, and suggestions/handouts.
I was just curious if most checked in (I can't remember if she said she would or not) but it looks like the answer is no.

I get a copy of the day's progress form that the daycare staff signed -- it's the same form that they have to fill out if therapy is at home. Our PT and OT both text me to let me know how the session went, but we specifically discussed that they would do that. I knew that I'd be wondering and would have a hard time going 12 hours of work waiting to read the sheet.
