DH's grandma moved in with his mom a few months ago, and the family decided to sell grandma's house. It's going up for auction this morning. Think good thoughts for a good price, and that DH's grandma won't be too crushed permanently losing her home.
Update: It didn't go well. The best offer they got at auction was $18K below their minimum. They're going to talk to the auction house about any possible interest, and see if they can at least get it bumped up a bit. An additional wrinkle is that MIL and all 4 of her sisters have to agree on the sale price, and they don't all get along.
Yes, we have managed to stay far, far away from the drama. DH is going down later in the month for his grandma's birthday, but we're staying here. He'll be able to get the latest scoop.
