I have had luck with using a heavier moisturizer at night, and a lighter one during the day. This way, my skin isn't trying too hard to compensate and over producing oils. I also use powder foundation vs liquid, and like Too Faced primed and poreless. Dermologica makes a nice mattifying gel that I liked a lot. I also always have Clean & Clear blotting sheets on hand (or the generic equivalent).
I had a makeup lesson this weekend, and the girl who did it told me to get some cheap Milk of Magnesia and put some on my face with a cotton ball before bed a couple of nights a week. I haven't tried it yet, but she swears by it.
ETA: She also mentioned that you could wear it under makeup. You don't need much--she suggested that you shake the bottle and then just use what is on the lid on a cotton ball. You might have streaks, but she said your makeup would cover it up with no problem. Like I said, I haven't had a chance to buy any, but could be worth a shot.
