Have you looked at their website? They're a super fun donut place - definitely part of keeping Portland weird! It looks like they have one in Austin now, too.
Don't drool too much. They're good, but they're not amazing. They're just really fun, and have occasionally stale cereal on top. If you want amazing donuts Blue Star in Portland wins that category. It's like Voodoo is klassy with cock n balls and Blue Star is classy with cointreau creme brulee.

I don't think their donuts are good. Long story short, I ended up tasting 40+ flavors a while back. The fritter was tasty but the rest tasted the same with different cereal, etc. on top. Their branding is brilliant though.

We have some new fancy donut place in the area. I haven't been yet. But I saw a new story on them...fruity pebbles on top, donut milk shake, etc. Bleck! Give me my old fashioned any day.
I went to blue star last year in Portland and it was vastly superior to voodoo. We brought the box back to the hotel and were commended by the hotel staff for choosing blue star over voodoo.
I really like Fractured Prune Doughnuts. Mmm Mmm good. Bonus points for giving free samples while you wait for your order.
I've heard those are good. I think there's one of these not far from me. I need to check it out.
You definitely should. Eat one for me, as there aren't any close to me. In fact, the only doughnut place where I am, is Krispy Kreme and DD. I like KK, but it's nothing like the places mentioned here or bakery doughnuts. I find in the South, most of the bakeries are associated with grocery stores, and up north, there are a lot more individual bakeries.
I used to love Voodoo just because they were a Portland staple and where we'd take all of our visiting guests from out of town. They're stale, have too much crap on them and are known for their terribly dirty kitchens. But it's a cool touristy place and they're a pretty good company.
