Does anyone have a recent Audi? H is considering a used A5, maybe new, but we don't know much about them. Is maintenance included like bmws? Are they reliable? I assume the costs to repair are high when needed like most German cars so I'd rather not have to deal with frequent issues. Anything else we should be aware of? TIA!

We have a 2007 A4 that we bought used in 2009. Not super recent, but it's been a good car for us. Very comfortable to drive. Maintenance does cost a good bit but some stuff should last longer, like the brakes.
But, we really like it and our next car will probably also be an Audi.
I have a 2012 Q5 and love it. No issues beyond normal maintenance. I am strongly considering getting another Audi in a few years. I have a maintenance plan with my warranty so everything is pretty much covered.

I have a 2007 A3 with 130k miles on it. Husband has a 2007 A4 that he bought used a few years ago. Maintenance packages took us both though the first 100kish, I think. They're both in great condition, I was primed for repair costs because my prior car was a VW.
We both agree that we would buy another Audi, but these two will last forever - since we moved last year I've only put 500 miles on mine, and he's put less than 3,000.
I had a 2011 Q5 that I sold recently because we left the country. I never had any problems with the car aside from routine maintence. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. I loved that car.
I have a 2013 Q5 that I love. We rolled our Audi care package into the financing (which we paid off early) so maintenance hasn't cost us anything yet and has only been routine so far.

My parents had a 2000 A4 wagon. It had a lot of problems with the electronics, the clutch, etc. Maintainence was included for the first XXX miles or years, I forget how many though. It pretty much shit the bed at 150K miles which disappointed my parents because they like to drive their cars for 200K+ miles.
I have a 2015 a3. My compressor went out last summer and it was in the shop for 2 weeks because they had to get the part from Germany. My passenger door seems to stick and I need to take it in and figured I would mention it at my 15,000 service. I had a 2002 a4 24 years ago and it had nothing but problems. I LOVED it but we traded it in when we realized it was in the shop 4 weeks out of six the 2nd year we had it. I love the look and am sad because I don't think I'd buy one again! My DH bought a Volvo and comparing the Volvo to an Audi my Audi looks like a cheap car . Sad, sad, sad!!!
