After a lovely few days in Providence with DD, we're back in the sauna that is south Louisiana. We had a LOT of togetherness...maybe a little too much, lol. But it was a great experience and hopefully one we'll get to have again. DD and her partners did very well, all things considered. They are in the 12-13 year old age bracket of their level even though they are 9, 10, and 11 (weird age guidelines in acro) so they were the youngest in their group and placed 7th out of 12. They were a little disappointed but we pointed out that that's 7th in the nation and that cheered them up.
We watched tons of elite competition
and got to see them announce the Olympic athletes for rhythmic and trampoline, which was a really cool thing to see.
We had a free day on Sunday and ended up driving out to Provincetown.
We all looked forward to this for so long and now that it's over we're on pins and needles waiting for them to announce the location for next year's nationals.

cajunmom, I love it when you post pictures from the competitions. What your daughter can do is absolutely incredible.
We bought plane tickets to attend my sisters wedding yesterday – I cashed in all of our credit card points to buy mine. Not sure if it was the most mm thing to do, but it's nice to only pay 550 out-of-pocket instead of 1100 .
I'm flying back next week for her shower/my parents anniversary/dad's birthday/nieces birthday/hometown festival. I'm so excited
I just saved $65 on my tickets to go see my dad in August. I got an email from SW and decided to check my dates. Sure enough, I got 1 ticket $45 cheaper and dropped $20 on the other ticket.
This is going to sound nuts but I took BB to Target for the first time. I've only ever taken her on walks. This was huge for me and my preemie baby anxiety.

Good job! Introduce her to the wonders of Tar-jay early

We booked round trip tickets from Cleveland to Zurich for $415 per person and then used our Starwood Amex card points and was able to get 4 nights at the Hotel Amba in Munich for free! We're going to take the train to Munich and then we used United points to get a flight from Munich back to Zurich for the cost of taxes!

I have an interview tomorrow! And the other place I had a phone interview with said they'll be setting up an interview this week. Yay! I hope I get one of those positions.

I went to get some fabric at Hancocks, and I want to go back there with them a hug for everyone. Going out of business sales brings out the absolute worst in people.
cajunmom how did you enjoy my fair city? Did you Visit anything else in RI or just do the beach out on the cape?
The city was beautiful. We ended up not visiting anything else in RI b/c we spent a lot more time at the competition than we planned on. Originally we were going to have Friday and Saturday afternoons free and all day Sunday but the girls ended up wanting to stay and watch everything so we only had Sunday until 6 pm free. We stayed downtown a block away from the venue and I loved the area and hope to have an opportunity to go back up there sometime. I wish we had been able to see more.
