I just finished #Nerd last night, and while I didn't love that particular book, I'm looking for something along those lines - quick, fun, happy little books.
I have a couple of actual paper books sitting by my bed, but none of them are appealing to me right now - Hamilton is gigantic, and I don't feel like something gigantic right now, and I'm just not in the mood for the darkness of Dennis Lehane or Joe Hill.
I also have some unread stuff in my Kindle, but none of that is catching my interest right now either.
I guess I'm looking for ideas for YA/NA (or adult fiction on the lighter side) that will grab my attention and is not super long. I'm looking for something I can DL today, so give me all the ideas and hopefully something will be available from my library. Kindle deals would be great too.
I forget, do you usually read any Fantasy? I wouldn't really call it light per se, but the A Court of Thorns and Roses as well as A Court of Mist and Fury were great reads (especially #2) and all the rage right now if you haven't read them.

I read "Since You've Been Gone" by Morgan Matson back in December for a group read on the other group. It's pretty good, relatively quick YA. It's rather light.

Eight hundred grapes seems to fit your criteria. Not the best book ever, but a short, quick light-hearted read. I finished it last week so it's fresh in my mind. Also summer days and summer nights is a book of short love stories featuring Stephanie perkins.

I read this one a few months ago - it was cute. I liked it.
Thanks for the ideas! Keep 'em coming!
I was able to DL the Start of You and Me and the first two Losing It books, so that should get me through this week and my little weekend getaway, I think. Maybe.
Eight Hundred Grapes has a hold list, but now I'm on it.

Not typically, but I'm not averse to it. Mostly it's not my style, but if you all recommend something enough, then I'll give it a shot. I wound up LOVING the seven realms series, even though I though it sounded completely NMS, but I wasn't into the Grisha and didn't go past the first book. I put a hold on Thorns and Roses.
I have Throne of Glass and the second in that series in my kindle (I bought them when they were $1.99 or something), but fantasy just wasn't appealing to me when I was trying to pick a book last night.

If you like funny romance novels-There is a series I have found hysterical, although I read them out of order. Consequences of Loving Colton, Consequences of Revenge, and Consequences of Seduction. I laughed out loud multiple times at Consequences of Revenge. They are really stupid, but funny. And if you have Kindle Prime-FREE!

A Court of Thorns and Roses is the one that finally got me out of my slump.

I just finished them and they were literally lol funny. They might be on sale the month of June for 1.99 each. Hope the author writes the 4th one soon!
You guys, I started this thread a week ago, and I've since read all three books in the Losing It series, and I'm currently on the second of the two short novellas that go with that series. It was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Most excellent! I saw on GR that you were reading Cora Carmack. I'm glad you're enjoying them.
I even bought Finding It for $5 because I couldn't deal with waiting for the library hold to come up (and I was next on the hold list)! Books like this just feel like summer to me. It's not even that they are that good, they're just like candy that I can't stop eating. I'm going to check out some of the others on this list too, I just wanted to read this series in one chunk, or I don't think I ever would've gone back to it.

I completely agree! I went on a NA binge last year. They were so enjoyable to zone out on.
I think the Rusk University ones are good too, though I don't think the series is over.
For sexy, funny, light contemporary romances, try the Alaskan Romance series by Shaye Marlow. Free with Kindle Unlimited. I liked the 2nd one better, but they're both good.
