Yesterday my boss asked me to go to Japan for 3 weeks in Sept. I would be 24-26 weeks PG then for the trip. This is the first and likely only opportunity I would have to go there for work for a long time. I would feel much better if the trip was a couple weeks before, but I can't move the trip. I meet with my OB next week and will ask her.

So...I have no idea on the whole "traveling while pregnant" thing, but ZOMG...I freaking LOVE Japan. We lived there for awhile and I'd move back in a hot second. If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks! I think it is 30 mins north of Tokyo.
We lived about an hour north of Tokyo, so I'm well familiar with the area. It is gorgeous. Such a great opportunity.
I had a window of not being high risk right around then and did travel. I also did a long haul flight at around 21 weeks and it was absolutely fine. I'd definitely go!
Unless there any medical risks that I'm not aware of I would go. I travelled from Sweden to Canada (9 hour time difference, a 10 hour flight) at 25 weeks and back right at 28 weeks (that was the latest my travel medical insurance would cover me).
Yes I would go. I felt great and had a really cute bump around that time. I think 20-28 weeks was the best part of pregnancy because I had a cute bump, felt baby move often, but I wasn't so big that I was uncomfortable. If you go, have a fun trip!
