And ask the them you support John Lewis's sit in for gun control. They are asking for votes on three different bills. The NRA calls, and lobbies, and shows up for every tiny little thing. Let's do the same for the voices of reason. Get the phone number of their local or DC office and take 10 seconds to call. It's a fast way to be counted. Feel free to call Lewis's office and thank him too :-)
I knew mine is participating, but I called in to his office anyways. The young lady on the phone sounded genuinely surprised to receive a call of support!
If you send a text to 644-33 they will send you text messages when there is an important vote, or when your support is needed. Usually it just requires a text or two back or a quick phone call.

I never know if I'm supposed to call the representatives for where currently live (military, been here for 8 years) or where we're actually listed as residents.
I contacted mine. He doesn't support it which isn't shocking.
Also, I never call ANYONE, and I called. So if I can do it, everybody that can should!
This! I HATE picking up the phone, but even I managed to pick up the phone for this. It's actually not that hard! The people on the other end get paid to pick up the phone. CALL!!!
I just wrote a scathing letter to my Texas representative. He proudly talks about how he's protecting our second amendment rights by introducing bills that protect gun suppliers and manufacturers so I already know he's a dickbag and basically told him so.

I've emailed both.
I call both.
I always do both. I just let them know I own property or something if I'm not registered there. Or #militaryspouse
