So I signed up for this a couple of months ago hoping it would motivate me to get in shape. I've been running a little and walking quite a bit, but that's it. The race is this weekend and I am thinking I shouldn't do it because I'm going to drag my friends down with me...haha! Has anyone done this? What would you consider to be the minimum level of fitness to do this? I can run 3 miles, but I'd have to stop for walking breaks. Are there lines at the obstacles where I'd be able to take a little break. Do I sound totally crazy? :-|

I think you'll be fine! I've done it twice and although I'm in pretty decent shape, I did it with girls who varied from cross-fit addicts and marathon runners to 50-pounds-overweight-never-run-a-day-in-their-life level of fitness. Everyone finished and had fun. The website makes it look a lot more intimidating than it really is, honestly....it's not that hard. Most of the obstacles had little lines, and some people walked the whole course. You don't "have" to do a obstacle, but no one I know opted out.
It's a lot of fun. Get a chicken leg afterwards, they are so good! Wear crappy running shoes and clothes you don't mind throwing away.

I was nervous, too. I mean, I'd never HAD to scale a wall so had no clue if I COULD scale a wall.
Like pp said, you'll be fine. Several people in my heat starting walking after the first obstacle. Plus, our first leg was all ankle deep mud so a lot were slowed down (many duct taped their shoes to their feet to keep them on).
I saw quite a few people going around obstacles they thought were too hard or taking breaks (standing in the longest line waiting to do the obstacle).
Other WDs may be different but mine was a very relaxed, party atmosphere and not high pressure. I had a great time and will def. do this again next year.
Thanks! That makes me feel better. I'm disappointed with myself for not being more ready for this, but I know I'd be even more disappointed if I didn't do it.
The fitness level varies all over the board. I was probably about the same level you described when I did mine in June and really enjoyed it. I ran between obstacles but walked about 10-20 yards up to the lines. I would def do it again even with little training.
Are you in Minnesota? I'm also doing the Warrior Dash this weekend. It's my first race. I have no idea what to expect, other than the info they have on the website.

Watching videos on youtube and seeing all the different people with all different fitness levels helped quell my fears. I haven't done WD yet (not til the 29th), but I'm not afraid of it anymore.
