Sooo little man has me up for two hours now. Thought, why not start a Friday post!?
i get to see my bff for a little bit then come home and try to get some more things crossed off my list. I also can't believe that Aj will be a year old in just over a week. I'm really sad about it, I love the baby stage of life.
I'm exhausted. I feel like I have no energy. I'm ready for this week to be over. Trying to figure out how my commute will be impacted tonight with the Presidential visit, if at all.
Ideally, we will go to Costco tonight. We need food. Then we have the notary coming to sign out refinance docs.

Good morning! I'm SO glad it's Friday. I just dropped my parents off at the airport as they're heading out for a cruise - lucky them!
As my daily update to my job saga, a role opened within my current company which sounds like what I need to be able to get into the field my education is in. I applied right away - so please send alllll the vibes! This is a good opportunity as it's in the field I prefer to be working in, in a more focused role. Also, it will allow for me to move up further since I'm currently at the top of my options in my current role.
This weekend we're going to celebrate H's mom's birthday with her and I need to get a few things for my work trip next week. Also, we really need to go grocery shopping. Dinners have been interesting to say the least, ever since we got back from our trip.
We have less food in the house right now than I can ever remember. We have no bread, deli meat/cheese, fresh fruits and veggies. Nothing to snack on. But we just had a huge vet bill bc Des injured his back somehow. So I'm trying to hold off of shopping as long as possible and use up the odd ingredients in the house first.
Tomorrow E has a bday party and Sunday we are having our DINK Seattle friends over for dinner. That should be interesting for them. lol. I'm stressed about finding an attorney for one of my clients. I need to refer something out ASAP but they all want a $2,500 retainer. Seattle attorneys are so much more expense. J has sttn now for a week. Maybe more. She sleep from around 10 pm to 5 ish. Wakes up to nurse. And I have to pump then too. Then she goes back to sleep on and off for several hours not really waking up until 1 or so. After that she's pretty much wake until 10 at night other than nurse naps. Odd sleep pattern for an 8 week old!

I hope all of you who need some extra sleep get it this weekend! And that no one's commute is too negatively affected by the President's visit this morning and evening.
I have plans to go to Ballard after work, so traffic should be interesting. It's a good thing that I have a good book to read on my bus ride! And Independence Day - Resurgence is out today, but I'm going to wait to watch it next weekend to "celebrate" the 4th.
I don't know how many of you follow international politics, but I'm pretty concerned with the result's of the UK's Brexit. I fear that it is a precursor for future elections for other "Western" countries, but I hope I'm wrong. I reached out to my "cousin" in the UK, she's closer to my father's age, but the same generation as me from our shared great-great-great grandfather & grandmother. She lives in the southern part of the UK, and from what I know about her (from never actually meeting her) I think she would have voted to Remain. I'm interested to learn her thoughts.
Went to bed at 8:30 with another freaking headache. Woke up periodically and every other sleep sequence was good so that's nice. Period started, happy anniversary weekend We both took today off, about to go pack and then we're heading to Astoria for the weekend. H said he sent me an email I had to check. I just looked a little bit ago...and like 19 Steam msgs as he bought me every single Sims 3 thing on the Steam sale. He said "Well, the traditional 6th anniversary gift is wood but the modern one is Sims." He can be awfully cute. We don't do anniversary presents as we try to just do some kind of outting together. He said this wasn't really for anniversary but it will never be cheaper (I had mentioned seeing a Tweet about someone buying all of them for $100 total) and it was time I maybe upgrade a step.
Brexit, man. Crazy. What's crazier is looking at the age divide on the voting and I'm rather angry at all the senior citizens with their xenophobia. Saw a great chart with the age range, their Brexit vote yay/nay, and "approx years to live with post-EU life"

I got my boy back yesterday. Man, what a exhausting drive. He didn't fall asleep on the way home, either. I thought for sure he would.
Today has been busy. We're both home, but I've done housework, a couple hours of actual work, and we've run a bunch of errands. I'm about to have a little napsie, I think.
Not sure what we have going on for the weekend. James and I have talked about starting to do some easy hiking. I thought we should start this weekend!
Nothing on the agenda for this evening. K & I were going to get together, but traffic will be a nightmare. So, we decided not to & will spend tomorrow together. Going to hit up some Ballard breweries. Sunday is brunch in West Seattle with the girls. And a husband. then heading to a family BBQ at my brother's. Should be a good weekend!
Maddawg my phone autocorrect you to massage which I take as a sign. But the vote was crazy I didn't think that would pass and then I was like dang is this like a precursor to idocracy? Like is this how it all started... with someone like Trump running for office and people going race crazy... Btw doesn't UW live in London? I mean we haven't seen her in ages but it would be interesting to hear her perspective
Has anyone seen picks around? Hope things are going well with her
I took today off Dana I was like f----- no. It got worse yesterday where I couldn't bear going back.
Also Dana you should make a hiking sticky for this board... just saying
We met with the tax people today, ugh. Hopefully all the taxes get sorted out
