If you are doing a bunch of character meals, do you still do meet and greets in the parks? For our October trip we have ADRs for 1900 Park Fare, CRT, Akershus, Garden Grill, Tusker House and Chef Mickeys. Should we still plan on doing the meets for the same characters in the parks? (I'm specifically wondering if we should skip fairytale hall).
Um, if I had that many character meal - no I would not do any meet & greets. Maybe Else & Anna if that's a must for your kids? You'll have some repeats in those meals, too.

We did 1 character meal (Tusker House), did a FP for Mickey at Town Hall (this one talks) because J loves Mickey and just did character meet and greets that didn't have waits.
thats why we do character meals... my DS likes the characters, but just doesn't have the patience to wait in line just to meet them. He's 5.5 and is definitely more of a "ride guy" :-) so we usually do a couple character meals and meet the characters that way. and then we meet some that have little or no waits if we see them ( like we saw Buzz light year had a short line when we were walking by so we hopped on line. same with woody and jessie- they were just coming out when we were getting off of splash mountain so we hopped in line. Same with Rafiki when we were at Rafikis planet watch in AK...
i have a friend who kept posting about her 2 year olds meltdowns when they were in Disney....probbaly because most of what they did was wait in lines to meet every character there was... 2 year olds just don't want to do that LOL

Except if your my kid, LOL. We went to Disneyland when he was 2.5 and every time we passed a character line he wanted to stop. Towards the end of the day we were maneuvering the stroller anytime DH and I saw a character so DS wouldn't see them.
OP, my kid loves the meet and greets, but with that many character meals I wouldn't make it a priority, just if the lines a short enough then why not.
We did Tusker House breakfast so we got to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. I FastPassed the rest of our meet and greets (mostly the 4th/5th/6th FP except for Ariel). Super easy and next to no wait. We did way more meet and greets than I expected that way.
we do both, however the last trip and the next trip our only character meal is CRT. Our trip in 2013 we did 6 character meals and still a lot of meet and greets. My daughter really likes meeting characters.
