I think susiebw recommeneded Jackdaws to me after I read Code Name Verity as well as Rose Under Fire when I couldn't get enough of WWII fiction involving strong women.

I loved Jackdaws. It was such a unique story from what you usually read of WW2 fiction. It goes right along with Codename Verity, Rose Under Fire, and the Nightingale. I loved them all.

c7 I heard this reaction from a few people on NBC, and some of them complained that the writing style didn't keep them engaged. I can understand that, but I listed to the audiobook (I think I got it as an Audible Daily Deal), and it was fantastic! The two narrators did a phenomenal job!

I could definitely see how this would be better on audio. I might check it out sometime. I liked the story, but I also had trouble with the writing style.
