Is color blocking still in for fall?

I missed a few trends this summer that I'm sad about. Another is the poofy dress shorts, every time I see someone in them I die of the adorableness.

I realized this morning that I really didn't have time to go shopping today (derp, too much laundry!) so I'm making do with what's in my closet for the weekend away. I figure I'm bored of it all but no one else is, lol.

I'd be more concerned if you were buying something like a chevron-print couch, but a dress? Go for it.

As for the color blocking, I would stick to the more rich, Fall colors (red, burgundy, 'hunter' green) I'm not a fan of hot pink top with cherry red pants, a la Sarah Jessica Parker.

I would go ahead and buy chevron prints on sale for next summer.

I say yes to both. Even if chevron isn't as big next year, you can still wear it. It's a classic print that comes back into style over and over again.
