I need a dress for a wedding. First weekend in October, 3 pm religious ceremony, 6 pm reception. I'm doing a reading at the ceremony.
I'm a curvy girl, usually a 12-14 in dresses, depending on the style. I like a little flowy...nothing too tight on my hips or thighs, nothing too short.
I have these 2 dresses that I bought earlier this year to wear to weddings (sorry, having issues with PIP):
tinyurl.com/8aovr9c (looking at pictures, I'm not sure that this one was the most flattering on my shoulders and upper arms)
I'm open to buying a new dress as well! I want to look nice to at least be confident in that when I'm nervous about getting up in front of people! I'd like to keep it around $100, but I can go a bit over for a great dress. TIA!

I love the second dress - the strapless one. I think it'll show off your curves nicely. Do you have a cardigan to wear in the church? Old fashioned, I know, so if you don't have one, don't bother.

That's what I was leaning towards, with some sparkly shoes that I have. I have a nice bolero like cardi that I think would look good with it for the church. I had the same old fashioned thought that I should be covered up a little in the church.
I don't think it will be that formal. Based on the invitation and some of the things that I know are happening at the wedding, I don't see it being super-duper fancy. Nice, but not black tie by any mean.
