The resort information is abundant on line but is there a map you can download with rides on it? And restaurants? Will the Disney TA book your meals and fast pass rides?
I just need tips on which rides and meals to choose. Or at least a book or guidebook.

I used touring plans to help create a schedule for each day. They will give fast pass recommendations based on what you want to do.
Have you just gone to the Disney site and looked at rides/dining/etc? I might start there if you have not done that. Not sure if there is a download option but they definitely have park maps.
How much research do you want to do on your own? If I wasn't a big blog reader in general I'd probably have gone the travel agent route for pretty much everything when we were planning our first trip and I didn't know much about Disney beyond the trip my family took when I was twelve. Because I like to read up and plan trips myself, though, (and because I was unemployed and had time to kill) I read the archives on WDW Prep School, Disney Tourist Blog, Touring Plans, and Easy WDW and made all of our Fast Pass and dining reservations based on their reviews and recommendations.
I like the unofficial guide books & their site touring plans. I use other sites: wdwinfo, disboards, all ears (mostly for menus), mousesavers. I also listen to podcasts - mostly the disunplugged ones but I used to listen to wdwtoday, too.
EasyWDW. He also wrote a book that was great for a family member new to DisneyWorld. You could read his book and then get updates from his website or Disboards.
Wdw prep school has tons of info graphics and easy to read information.
Combine her information and 5 step planning process with the " best days" and touring plans from Easywdw.com
I also listen to mousechat each week. I find they have good information on resorts and restaurants and events, and are less concerned with touring plans though.
Recently I used My Disney Experience on the WDW website to create a Wish List and then viewed the wish list on the map. Looking at the map view made it easier to visualize how many activities I really wanted to do at MK and how far away they were from each other.
