I knew he was getting big. He was 64% for both height and weight! He was off the charts when he was born, slid down and settled in around 45%. Last year, he got into the 50%s and I was super excited. Now he's all the way up in the mid 60%'s.
He was extremely verbose in the appointment, so the doctor thinks he's super smart. I know he is pretty smart, but his articulation makes people think he's super smart. It's kind of funny.
The bad thing about when they get older, though, is they tattle of you a lot. He was sure to tell the doctor that I feed him canned fruits and vegetables. We almost always have a green salad with dinner, but he couldn't talk about that...he had to talk about the canned stuff. He also complained to the doctor that I won't feed him again after dinner and when he's in bed sometimes his stomach feels hungry and I make him wait until breakfast (truth is, Tman uses hunger as a stall tactic to stay awake longer). Luckily, the doctor took my side on that and said that he needed to eat well throughout the day, not just eat a lot in the evening/night.
Anyway, proud mama, once again.
I find that as he grows older, I grow more and more grateful that he doesn't have any delays or disabilities. It's easy to take their overall health for granted.
