Sarsh J. Maas is publishing new books in her two YA series A Court of Thorns and Roses and Throne of Glass, EW can exclusively announce. Maas will publish six new additions to A Court of Thorns and Roses and three new works in Thrones of Glass. All the books will be published with Bloomsbury.
Next year will bring the sixth and final book in Throne of Glass, about a beautiful assassin fighting for her survival, as well as a novella about the character Chaol Westfall and a compendium titled, The World of Throne of Glass, which, according to Bloomsbury, will be “the ultimate guide to the Throne of Glass series and the world of Erilea, including an illustrated compendium of characters, settings, magic, gods, politics, creatures, and vocabulary, plus a timeline of events.”
The first new work in A Court of Thorns and Roses will be a coloring book, also due out in 2017. The other five works will publish beginning in 2018. The series follows a young huntress who is taken captive by faeries in a treacherous, magical land.
I don't mind Novellas and assume some of the 5 ACoTaR will be them, but it's so deceiving that a coloring book is one of the 5. I NEED MORE RHYS AND FEYRE NOVELS.
WAIT. Her website says the sequel to ACOMAF is due in 2017. SHE BETTER NOT BE TALKING ABOUT THE EFFING COLORING BOOK.
My head will explode if this is true.
whoa whoa whoa... let's not focus on the negative. We get even more Rhys and Feyre... and hopefully some Cassian and Nesta... and probably some Azriel and Mor... and perhaps some Lucien and Elain!!!! Next year isn't the end. It's still practically the beginning!!!
I thought ACOTAR was supposed to be a trilogy? Are the rest novellas, or did the series get expanded?
And I already have the 5th Throne of Glass book preordered. I really need to stop reading unfinished series books. I HATE WAITING!
Me too!! I started Throne of Glass about a month before the third book was released, which at that point was still being billed as a trilogy! The old bait and switch! Lol.
Did you guys read The Assasin's Blade? I passed at first, but caved during my post-Mist and Fury funk. They were pretty good, but Celena and Sam's romance was a let down after Feyre and Rhy, as most things seem to be.

I did this exact thing. I NEEDED more Maas after ACOMAF, so I read Assasin's Blade. I liked Celena and Sam. No, it's nothing compared to Feyre and Rhy, but I don't think it was meant to be. It was a first love thing. I liked Sam. I am sad I won't get more of him. It gave insight into why Celena is so vengeful in the beginning.
