We met With the oncologist sand she confirmed cancer of the stomach.
She told me that the CT couldn't clearly rule out other problems so she ordered a PET scan. She thinks it may have metastasized to the lining of my abdomen.
I'm going to start chemo very soon, maybe next week, to stop the progression of the cancer until I can have surgery.
If it has metastasized to the abdominal lining, Well, that's inoperable and I'd be in chemo until when and if I reached remission.
The PET scan is Friday, I have another appointment with the GI on Monday and I go back to the oncologist on Wednesday.
I asked about life expectancies and she said if the test came back as positive for something called HER2 (or hurtu) the average life expectancy is 12-18 months.
Guys.
This shit is getting way to real for me.
I'm going to take a hot shower with a cold beer and pass out.
Thank you everyone for all of your love. I couldn't do this without you.
OH AND I FORGOT. The chemo is going to make me lose my hair. Nausea, fatigue, mouth sores, and changes to my skin and nails.
