I'm reading Landline by Rainbow Rowell, enjoying it so far.
I love the taste of grilled veggies, especially zucchini, onions and mushrooms. I just don't actually do them that much. Garlic powder, pepper, olive oil, toss to coat. Grill
I'm about 30% of the way through Whiskey Tango Foxtrot by David Shafer. It's meh. There is so much small detail that I feel like I'm getting stuck in the weeds.
QOTW: I'm simple when it comes to grilling. Just burgers. My husband does all the grilling. I don't even know that I would be able to figure out how to turn the darn thing on.
Distant Shores by Kristin Hannah (Mediocre read. Im about halfwawy through and a bit bored)
The Girls . I aonly just started and not sure how I feel about it yet.
I finished Before I go To Sleep by SJ watson . LOVED this so much!!! finally a great suspense! Milk & Honey. Full of amazing (feminst) quotes. LOved this and highly recommend
QOTD: grilled anything! I love burgers, chicken almost burnt I love all veggies grilled, specifically, mixed brussel sprouts, zucchini, mushrooms and beets, drizzle olive oil, salt, pepper garlic and devour!

I'm reading Scorpio Races. It's good but I'm just not drawn into it.
I'm not a huge fan of grilled foods outside of the fact that it's essential for summer so as not to heat the house up. When I was pregnant with my son, I had a huge aversion to the smell of grills.
I just started The Lake House. I'm only a couple chapters in so it is too early for an opinion on the book.
I love grilling! I love grilled veggies - summer squash, portobellos, peppers, etc. I also really like making grilled pizza and grilled portobello pizzas. Oh, and grilled pineapple!!
I was so happy to carve out time to read this week. I am a third of the way through The Silk Worm and I like it.
QOTW: We grill a crazy amount in the summer. DH is a stickler for charcoal, so it is all on him! I love grilled pizza, burgers are a favorite. These buttermilk brined pork chops are awesome:
Buttermilk Brined Pork Chops
2 cups fat-free buttermilk
2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
4 (6-ounce) bone-in center-cut pork chops (about 1/2 inch thick)
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
Cooking spray
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; shake well to dissolve salt and sugar. Add pork; seal and refrigerate overnight, turning bag occasionally.
Remove pork from bag; discard brine. Pat pork dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle pork with pepper.
Heat a grill to medium-high heat. Add pork; cook 3 1/2 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
I'm still reading The Quartet by Joseph Ellis, about Washington, Hamilton, Madison, and Jay's work to bring about the US Constitution. It's quite good.
QOTW: I love grilled pineapple. Love it. And grilled pizza. And turkey burgers. And veggies. God, we need a new grill. I have missed grilling so much this summer because DH has been lazy about getting our new grill.
I'm reading Watchers by Dean Koontz -it's a re-read, so I am sure I'll enjoy it again!
I finished Promise Me by Harlan Coben which was ok. Also finished Yellow Crocus- I really enjoyed this one!
QOTW: I love grilled everything! We do a ton of camping and grill most of our food- ranging from steaks, burgers, hot dogs, chicken, foil packs & tons of veggies!

Reading Summer Days and Summer Nights: 12 Love Stories. I've only read about 3 of the stories so far and they were ok. Also, about 25% through Everyone Brave is Forgiven. I had high hopes for this one, but it hasn't sucked me in yet. Maybe it's because I've been exhausted.
I love grilling and am not choosy, but salmon in tinfoil is probably my favorite.
I'm reading Beautiful Lies by Lisa Unger (as per the T and U authors thread I started last week). It's OK, but the pacing feels all wrong for a thriller.
I'm also reading a book on overcoming procrastination, but it's main advice seems to be "make lists" and I'm over here like, "I make millions of lists, I just never do the things on those lists, be helpful you stupid book!"
QOTW: I don't really have a favorite grill recipe, and my H does all the actual grilling, but I'm making these this weekend and they make me feel fancy. LOL!
Moroccan Kefta Kebabs - moroccanfood.about.com/od/maindishes/r/basic_kefta.htm?nl=1 - I don't add extra fat (I just use straight ground lamb), and I sauté the onions first because I can't do raw (or rawish) onion. I leave out the optional cinnamon, but I do add everything else. Then I serve them with a spinach and goat cheese salad with mustard vinaigrette and a citrus salad with pistachios.

I just downloaded some random mystery that was on sale for $1.99. I didn't even look at the title!
I love to grill pineapple and then drizzle caramel on it. Best dessert ever. I miss my grill; I got to keep the cat and the BMW in the divorce and XH got the grill.

I'm listening to "The Way I Used to Be" by Amber Smith, and I'm finished "The Girl on the Train" as well as in the middle of "My Year with Eleanor". I'm enjoying all of them quite a bit.
We don't grill a lot but I did have a fabulous Greek chicken I did on the grill and then cut it up and use it in gyro's. It's all about the marinade. Here's the recipe: tideandthyme.com/chicken-gyros/

I'm reading Justice Hall, by Laurie R. King. I like the series well enough, though it isn't a favorite.
QOTW - I actually bought my first gas grill this summer, so I'm just starting to get into grilling (in small steps). Because I love a good steak anyway, that's been my favorite thing to grill so far, though I am paying attention to everyone else's responses just to get ideas.

I'm late to the party. I finished The Alpine Vengeance yesterday and started The Alpine Winter. I'm hoping to finish the series by mid-August. I'm enjoying them, and I like the characters, but it's time to get them off my shelves for some new books.
QOTW: I'm not really a griller. I have a paralyzing fear of open flames so I never grill anything. I'm not fond of grilled chicken -- I find it is always dry. I'm not fond grilled vegetables either, there is a texture that is off-putting. My favorites are grilled hot dogs and burgers, and I love grilled peaches and pineapple.
I finished listening to Memory Man by David Baldacci (mystery/thriller) and Marrying Winterbourne by Lisa Kleypas (historical romance) - both I really liked and think you should listen to versus read.
I'm (still) reading Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson and finishing up listening to Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda).
I've been in a slump. I'm sort of reading Lions by Bonnie Nazdam, which I think I will like once I devote some time to it. I'm probably going to set that aside and start Bay of Sighs by Nora Roberts, which should be much easier to get into.
I love grilled veggie kebabs. Cherry or grape tomatoes, zucchini, peppers -- yum.
I'm all over the place with my books at the moment trying to juggle library books on both the Kindle and audiobook side.
Today, I'm listening to All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, though I'm not very far into it yet so I can't say much.
On my Kindle, I'm trying to finish America's Women: 400 Years of Dolls, Drudges, Helpmates, and Heroines by Gail Collins. I like it, but am having trouble with the concentration for non-fiction lately.
I like grilled salmon. Mmm! I just melt butter and mix in brown sugar and pour it over the top when I put the fish on the grill. Easy!
