We went to Costco earlier too. All the school supplies were out, I picked up a large box of I think 96 the those pencils everyone loves for $10. Large ream of copy paper was $5 something.
Plus a ton of snacks for DH. He's been buying crap from the break room at work.. That they stock with stuff from Costco...
Ooooh, you are making me excited for Costco! We are finally getting one really close that opens the end of August, DH and I need to remember to get a membership!
Drove by it today with the girls when I said I couldn't wait for Costco to open and they were like, "What's Costco?" I said, "It's a store that has everything!"
(sorry for all the exclamation points, I'm just so darned excited, lol )
Ooh the jacket is tempting. But it wouldn't be warm enough for 30-40-degree winter weather, right? smilee1079
I wear it in 30-40 degree weather if I'm just going to be outside for a few minutes, like going to work or running errands. It's not quite warm enough for, like, playing in the snow.

I have that jacket too and wear it in 30-40 degree weather running errands. I wouldn't want to be outside for a long time, but for a few minutes it works well. It also repels water pretty well. Not a downpour, but the quick shower or snow flurry is not a problem.
I bought a 3 pack of the Rubbermaid Freshworks containers there for 27.99 (2 large, 1 medium). I think this was the board that someone raved about them on. I also bought a 2lb pack of strawberries last Saturday, and they still looked fresh this morning. I'm impressed

Oh yay!! I've been waiting for those Contigo cups to come back. Fine with me if there's no metal one this year -- we went through two packages last year because the metal one kept breaking. Finally I just threw the metal one out and kept the two plastic ones.
The meat looks awesome.
Hey -- does anyone have any recent experience with Costco cakes? From what I've read online, they've changed things recently and only offer chocolate with chocolate frosting and vanilla with vanilla frosting. No choice of fillings. DD1 really wants a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. Does anyone know if they'll do that?? I'd love to know before I drive out there.

I would still have a heavier coat for when you are outside long but I often wore it then with gloves and a scarf just to run in and out of places. I also found it excellent for cool fall and spring days/evenings. I last wore it in the evening when I went camping in southeastern VA on Memorial Day weekend.
I tried the beef with spinach dip yesterday and it was really good! I went to get peaches because they have been so good at Costco this year. The ones from the grocery store haven't come close.

We got a cake there in June and just asked if they allow changes. They said totally and just note on the order form.

Not super recent, but we got a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting for DDs birthday in May.
