I'm gonna go ahead and count the entire past week since I was on vacation.
$804 for plane tickets, one unexpected night in a hotel, and souvenirs/meals/gifts. All on a triple points promo on our credit card, which I just paid off in full now that I'm home! Not bad!
DH stayed home, and literally only spent $21 on delivery pizza while I was gone.
For those of you following my little vacation saga, I had an amazing time. I'm so happy I went even if it's money I hadn't originally budgeted for this month.
Plus, American Airlines rewarded me 25,000 miles for the unplanned 18 hour layover, and they're looking into reimbursing my hotel ($122) too.
Throwing in a PIP because this picture is so insanely beautiful.
We went out of town to Hershey to see the Zac Brown Band.
Friday: ~$29 for bottled water, sunscreen, toiletries; $18 beer; $165 Costco Saturday: $10 breakfast at CFA; $12 tickets and pretzels at pretzel factory; $17 Subway for lunch; $33 chocolate from local chocolate place; $100 for concert tickets Sunday: $94 for hotel; $11 at farm stand
$100 or so going out $76 on new chickens (we bought teenage chickens, it actually works out to be a good deal when you factor in chicken cost, food, and hassle) $75 in paint and supplies to finish the exterior trim
Friday: nothing Saturday: $65 on groceries Sunday: $7 on dessert, $$60 on Amazon to get things same day for BB and another $65 at babies r us but that was on a gift card, so free?
Well, I spent $$$$ on stuff for the new baby, which is unavoidable but thankfully less nuts than the first one! Otherwise it was an incredibly MM weekend for us, we ate at home for all our meals and used up some pantry food, which was great.
I spent about $200 on groceries, $20 for gas and $38 for dry cleaning.
We were on vacation all week in Seattle & Portland so yeah we spent a ton. Haven't even calculated it yet.
We also found out we accidentally gave 2 wedding gifts to a friend. We gave her a $150 check last fall, but forgot that we did that. We sent her another $150 check a few weeks ago (she cashed both). When I was doing the Mint.com categorization, I figured out we had already sent a gift. I guess she also forgot, otherwise I don't think she would have cashed the 2nd check. Oh well, can't really do anything about it now.

It was not great in terms of spending but I have been more MM during other weeks. BF was out of town for a family event. It was quite far away and to visit a relative with severe dementia and memory loss so I did not go.
Friday night: Around $10, not bad. Walked to a place where I had a healthy salad and sandwich.
Saturday night: Dinner and a movie with a friend ended up costing more than I would have liked. I booked our tickets in advance. (This theatre lets you pick out individual seats online). I thought the movie might sell out because the area it was in gets crowded but was not on this particular evening. My friend was then supposed to subtract the ticket value from my dinner. Dinner ended up costing a bit more than I would have liked. I was really hungry and ordered an appetizer which I thought she might split but she didn't want to. We also ended up getting ice cream afterwards. It was fun but the costs ran higher than I would have liked.
I think with that friend, I should try to stick to each of us paying our own costs and using separate checks. I like her but she is a little weird with splitting of costs. I have another friend where we went to baseball together and I booked the tickets in a similar circumstance. It wasn't an issue because she just paid me the value at the park. Movie friend, rather than just subtracting the movie ticket value from the dinner bill was like, "Why don't you pay both of our tips and I'll buy us ice cream?" I had to think about it later to figure out if I got fully reimbursed for her ticket. Not a big deal but I should probably just stick to paying for things separately around her whenever possible. It's a little bit hard to budget around her like this. For example, I probably wouldn't have gotten an appetizer if I'd known that she wasn't just going to subtract the ticket value from the dinner, so I ended up spending more overall than I wanted to. She did reimburse me but in a way that caused me to spend more than I would have if we'd paid for our own costs entirely separately.
Sunday: I made dinner for my mom and I needed to buy my third bottle of sunblock for the summer. Spent about $20 more at the grocery store than I would have otherwise but some things are important. This weekend was going to be more expensive than usual and I've been more cautious throughout the month.
Friday: I went to taco bell for a good cleanse it was $7 Saturday: $14 on Amazon for K- beauty Sunday: $0
Total: $21
Working on Saturday sure paid off. Side note, this is how infrequently I go to Taco Bell... Apparently the Baja sauce is now spicy ranch! When did that happen?
