The positives of living with your MIL

Got home from a weekend at the seaside and my MIL had cleaned the entire house (except our bathroom).  She had vacuumed, swept and wiped down surfaces.  I was not looking forward to doing it today and now I don't have to!  She's been great about looking after the dog (feeding him or letting him out when I work in the evenings) and keeping everything tidy.  And she doesn't interfere with anything.  Love her!

My MIL would keep us fed with delicious food and the house clean at all times. The problem would be her witnessing to us 24/7.

My MIL has been in our inlaw apt for about 17 years. She has her own kitchen, etc so we don't share meals or anything but it has really worked out well. Yes there have been many bumps along the way, but we get through them. I absolutely adore her and am almost as close to her as I am my own mom.

Nice! I think that's how my mom would be (and DH IS closer to my mom than his own). My MIL on the other hand would be completely useless and drain everything out of us. Sadly, if one were to ever move in, it'd be her
