Probably. Especially if you classed it up Countess style. Several seasons ago LuAnn wore a black leather dress in several episodes/scenes and the styling really worked to tone down the impact of an all leather dress (does that make sense?!).
When are the events? What will the weather be like? I tend to agree that the sheath would be fine for the second event.
Eta- you look great in that dress mav! I think I would lean towards wearing it moreso if the weather is cooler and you can wear the sweater coat with it. It looks so chic, I love it.

Mav, here I feel like I would be able to wear that dress - the colorful one. I LOVE that outfit on you... soooo pretty! I guess it depends more what your area is like! Here September is still pretty warm and kind of like an Indian summer... so I would definitely be able to get away with it here.

I like the floral dress for the first event and the leather with the jacket for the second. I like the idea of the Baily column dress for the first event, but you'll need to style it really well (which I know you can). The navy stripes could look a little more nautical at a boathouse event. You can either play that up or down, but I'd lean towards playing it down to keep from looking too kitschy.

I definitely agree that you can wear the sheath to the second event, and I do love that first dress as well.
I caught up on the RHONY last night and my eyes were popping out of my head over all of the drama. Aviva went crazy pants, IMO. I actually kind of felt bad for Ramona for once. Also, I love that Luann totally made out or whatever with thomas.
Hot! Love the leather dress, totally wear that to the second function. I do think the flower dress is a little too summery. Yes on the column dress as p.p. suggested.

No problem! I kind of figured that with your typical style and outings that it hadn't registered yet. I didn't want you to end up with and "Oh shit!" Moment in the boathouse. I interned at my local boarding/prep school and avoided all nautical stuff since it was on a lake.
