He was so happy. He said it made his day. He even said he hopes I'd come back full time but would of course be willing to work with me on a plan. I would die if I could come back part time. That would be ideal.
I just told him. Tuesday he suddenly up and left for a meeting before I could grab him and yesterday was a madhouse here.
Woohoo! That's awesome! I know there are some women on the SAHM board that were able continue working from home while their LO naps or after s/he is in bed. Do you think that would be something your boss would work with you on?
If you work from home, you will need child care, unless you want to "work" from home. Really. People see right through that shit.
If she wants/needs to work regular business hours, yes. If she's permitted to work "off hours" such as when the baby is napping or in the evenings after the baby is in bed, then no.

Not only that, but it's hard as fuck to actually do work from home if you are trying to watch your kid too. And that whole "I'll work when the kid naps" lasts right up until the kid refuses to nap, or because they didn't sleep the night before and you were up, you pass out and sleep when they do.
Yeah, working from home wouldn't really work for my job. Rarely have I had work I could bring home. 50% of it is being here having everyone ask me to "help them with something for two minutes" I'm always filling out my time sheet wondering wtf I did last week, lol.
But I'm thinking modified hours could work. I can get on H's health insurance and offer them 30 hours or so and that would be better for me and cheaper for them. I just don't want to get home at 5:30 and only have 2 hours with the baby before bed.
