The PET scan was inconclusive. *updated*

They can tell that the cancer did not metastasize to my abdomen wall but she's concerned that it may have spread to my bladder out some other stupid organ in my body.

I start chemo on 8/10 which sucks balls because DD's baby shower is 8/14.

My doctor told me to get long term disability paperwork from my employer.

ETA: I don't expect to go back to work until winter or next year at the earliest.This is a shitty way for me to not work because I was so ready to babysit my granddaughter!!

They're drawing fluid from my abdomen tomorrow and some other test next week but the only two things I can remember right now is "HER2 negative" and "no cancer in my abdominal wall."



I'm getting my hair cut on Saturday and my nephew is designing an undercut for me.

Also, I imagine it depends on the med you're getting, but the ppl I know who have undergone chemo generally still felt mostly normal after the first round. So glad for this report!!! I was weird Internet stranger thinking about you today. My mom's friend went to a kicked cancer's butt party for a friend who had stomach cancer. He is one year clean and doing really great. Praying that In no time we will be saying the same about you!

The Her2 negative result is huge, and nothing visible in the abdominal wall is a great sign as well (I worked in cancer research for a decade and now I work in healthcare still related to cancer). I'm sorry for all of this, it sounds so incredibly rough.
