I have it coming from Amazon tomorrow but when I saw it at Target today I picked it up anyway. I justify it by putting one in my classroom.
I started reading it on the couch when I got home and had to put it down because my kid was talking to me and I didn't even hear her.
That world just draws me in like... nothing ever has.
I went outside and said no one was allowed to talk to me until I was done. Luckily, my kids are older now. When the last one came out, my husband was out of town, my kids were younger, and I truly don't know how they were fed that day.

So you finished? I'm trying really hard to wait until we leave for our trip because I'm afraid once I get sucked in I won't stop.
DH grabbed us a copy while he was running errands today, but I have to be good and finish the Gloria Steinem book first because it's an ebook that will be recalled in a week regardless of whether or not I have finished it yet.
I haven't bought it yet. I'm too afraid of being disappointed
Same.
I think if you go into it knowing it's not JK and kind of separating yourself from the rest of series a little bit, it helps. I'm about 70 pages in and I'm really enjoying it but it's definitely not the same feeling as the original series, but I didn't expect it to be so it's easier to enjoy. Does that make any sense at all? *-)

I was discussing with a coworker today. I should have gotten the hard copy. I'm going to have to pick one up so its on the book shelf with all the others.
Agreed - don't expect this to be the same as the books. But, it felt "right" ... you're in that world, the characters sound like they should. The play format is interesting and the story is good.
And I absolutely adore one of the new characters (well, not new, but just someone we've only seen, not interacted with). (I'm trying not to spoil anything.)

That does make sense. I'm going on vacation next week so I'm planning on reading it then, and probably following it with an HP reread lol.
