So it is really hot here and I am tired of wearing the same 5 or so outfits that properly fit me pp.
I love fall fashion. Indulge me with what you are buying for fall this year and school me on any trends that are worthy of purchase. As I get older, I find I indulge in a lot less trends as I don't want to look ridiculous.
I bought some cute boots and an awesome leather jacket last year while pregnant, I can't wait to wear them onceI drop my baby weight.
I checked out the wearable trends according to Glamour for fall and I am all nope Octopus as they look ridiculous.
I will be in maternity fashion this fall. I am on on the hunt for gray booties but other than that I see a long of skinny jeans with tees and cardigans in my future.

Yep that is pretty much all I wore while pregnant. The nice thing is many of my old cardigans worked until I was at the very end.
All I am hoping for is a few fashionable options that don't include fucking riding boots. The last few years it's been 'these pants or these pants or these leggings all with riding boots obviously!' And I am sitting here like 'no one likes you and your regularly sized calves.'
Last year I finally bit the bullet and bought a whole new wardrobe so the only thing I'm looking to buy this year is a pair of casual shoes.
I will basically live in Loft curvy skinny jeans, long sleeved tees or short sleeved tees with sweaters. If cold enough I have some quilted and fleece vests. I also like to accessorize with lightweight scarves
I'm here for the loud metallics and nautical looks. Maybe a dash of menswear in really feminine silhouettes... maybe. Metallics and nautical are my lifeblood, and I'm really happy with my body right now. So, I'm stoked!
I need pics
@kirkette, I was hoping you would come in with your fall fashion faves. If I remember correctly, you used to be involved in the fashion industry, is that correct?

Flare leg jeans 4 life.
Darn proboards ate my reply.
Flares are still in this year (not like it matters as I am at a stage where I wear what I want anyway)

I love seeing the trends from the highest end, and I'm excited to see how they will be interpreted.
Woot, woot to mini skirts coming back too. I wasn't a fan of midis and maxi skirts. Maxi dresses yes, but minis are so much more fun!
I love the Black Magic and Naval Academy. I may need to spring for the fall fashion edition of the top magazines. I used to love reading fashion magazines and then gave it up once the kiddos started taking over and I stopped caring as much. I may need to invest in a couple this year. I love going through my closet to see what I have that maps to the current trends. I have a stupidly large amount of clothes I need to refine post weight loss.
I have fallen in love with these booties from the anniversary sale. I looked and looked at booties last year and never found any I really liked and I liked these in the store last week. If I get an offer after yet another interview with this company on Thursday, I'm buying them unless you all tell me they're fug.
I like them. I think they would like nice with cuffed skinnies. Congrats on the offer!
I should be more invested in fall since I can start wearing normal (non nursing) clothes during the day soon. I need to evaluate my closet and see what I need to fill in. I'd love a new pair of loafers if I can find something fun and funky.
I know I need more tops but am not sure what I want yet. I saw a cute chambray peplum top at Banana Republic I may snag.

I have very muscular calves and hated riding boots. But then I discovered a British company, now called Ted and Muffy. You order the boots based on your specific calf size. I bought a pair 2 years ago that actually fit me and I love them. I'm planning to buy another pair this year.
Can someone find me gray booties to wear with skinnies this fall? My order was cancelled and these aren't available anymore but something like this:
Also most of my maternity wardrobe is summer but I have 4 pairs of jeans (one pair is black) and basic tees. Do I need more long sleeves or can I get away with cardigans? Should I get one of those boubo things (spelling?). I did buy a navy quilted jacket.
I'm hoping to lose the rest of my baby weight by fall (15 lbs to go) so I should be ready for some new jeans. I also need a new jacket and maybe a pair of booties.
I did a massive closet purge while I was pregnant, and then immediately got rid of all of my maternity clothes. This summer I'm pretty much wearing three different nursing-friendly dresses, so I will have a clean slate in the fall to shop.

I have both muscular and short calves, so whenever I get wide-calf boots, the wide part is too high for the 'bulk' of my calf and they get slouchy. And I cry, again.
I love fall fashion! Too bad it's hot here until November so our window for wearing fall clothing is very limited.
I adore the nautical look so I'm excited that will be back in fashion!
I am going back to work this fall (very part time) so I will be needing some wardrobe updates. I need new jeans and want a pair of booties. I've been on the hunt for a few years but haven't found a pair I love yet. Otherwise I want very basic tops that can be dressed up or down in white and jewel tone colors.
I also need a new jacket this year. I have a leather moto jacket I still love but that's basically it. I need one that will handle most types of weather since I will be walking DD to school and back every day starting this year.
I've decided this will be the year I will splurge on a new bag, too. Every few years I treat myself to a really nice one. I think most of my updates will come via accessories but I do need new basics.

Aww man, I would cry too. I know this company has several different styles with various heights and will show you exactly where the widest part is etc. for each style. They do try to tailor to all different shapes and sizes, but of course it's not perfect.

I kind of like the menswear-look oxfords, but not sure I'm willing to pay $$$ for them. Like these I saw at Nordstrom. I told a guy there they reminded me of bowling shoes, and he was offended, LOL
Also while at Nordstrom, they were selling plaid blankets in the clothing section. I asked the salesperson how I was supposed to wear them, and she had no idea. I"m still on a quest to figure that out, LOL.
