Yea, I think it was sexist. It was the post of a friend of mine that the Longhorn beat writer (that would be An.war Rich.ardson) picked up and made national news.
I wasn't present, so I can't speak for the content. I last attended this event 10 years ago. The only thing I saw was the little poem, and while I do agree it was sexist, I am not nearly so outraged as my friend. I just see it as in poor taste. I'm told that the general assembly talks were dumbed down, but breakout sessions and one on one sessions were much better.
Another friend who did attend told me the women weren't much better, tbh. Lots of catcalling and "you're so hot" to the players and younger members of the coaching staff. The majority of women were in their 30s-50s.
I hadn't heard about this but I'm confused as to why someone would pay money for that overly sexualized presentation. But then again I don't understand the catcalling and all of that nonsense from the women. The Aggie song was sexist and definitely in poor taste. The other slides look like something a bunch of men who work with only men would come up with. I'm not offended by the slides just confused why any would okay them for a room full of southern women.
