I just got home from my intake appointment with the new therapist.
Oh my gosh, you guys. She's like night and day from the one I've been seeing. I immediately felt so much more comfortable talking to her. She comes across as super nice and caring, while also asking good questions and offering really useful insights.
She was very careful to not say anything negative about the therapist I've been seeing, but was also very supportive of the idea that it didn't seem to be a good fit for what I need and that seeking out someone new was probably the right choice.
I am so relieved. I feel like a weight has been lifted and I might be on the road to actual help.
