I can't be the only one who wishes it was Sunday, right?
I'm currently contemplating what to do with RSUs. I think I will keep them, but it's tempting to sell since we're at a high I don't remember seeing in a while. But I have no need for the money (thankfully) so I will let it ride.
Also MM-related: I can change my cell plan to get 2GB of data, which would then include rollover data, for 1.37 more a month. It seems like a good deal, but I am still hesitant.

I have to approve all employee classified ads at work. A BOB stroller came up for $150. Would you buy this in my shoes? I know I want some kind of jogging (not for actual jogging because LOFL) stroller, but it's obviously outrageously early to be buying shit. I don't even have an ultrasound until late Friday to confirm it's where it should be.
hamster, if you're not going to use it for jogging, then why do you want it? I am not being snarky, I am just trying to understand. We got the Britax B-Agile and it lives up to it's name - it can turn in tight spaces like an elevator with no issue and folds very easily.
But to answer your question - I am too nervous nelly to buy anything early. I waited until I was past the anatomy scan to buy things.
I threw an extra $5K at one of my SLs last week. I'm trying to feel happy about it or at least pretend it didn't happen rather than daycreaming about all the things I would rather have done w/that money than sinking it into my blackhole of SL debt.
Perhaps a burger and fries will help me forget....
hamster that seems like an excellent price for a Bob. I get the desire for a heavy duty stroller even if you're not a jogger. We have a city mini GT and we use it for walks in the woods and rougher terrain. My only concern is the size/weight of a Bob - I think it's quite large. Feel free to pop over to MMM to solicit their input. Never to early to procure baby gear for a good price

We live in the boonies, so we definitely have a need for something with good tires. If I want to go for a walk from the house, my only options are down the street and back (no sidewalk) or down a gravel path. It doesn't have to be an official jogging stroller per se, or a BOB for that matter.
I bought a Lodge seasoned steel skillet over the weekend with some WS credit I had, specifically so I can make these cookies, which I have been drooling over for months:

But what else do you cook in your cast iron/steel skillets? @foodielicious , I bet you have some ideas!
All the things.
Seriously since we bought ours, we tossed our non-sticks and rarely use our stainless steel pans any more (unless for really tomatoey stuff)
Some cast-iron specific recipes that come to mind - corn bread, whole roast chicken, chicken katsu, breakfast potatoes, burgers, steak ... yup - all the things!

I have had a very unproductive morning. I must improve this afternoon! I have stuff to do, just unmotivated and I don't really want to talk to others...
The second video above is awesome. I love Mary Carillo, I hope to see her doing a story in the current Olympics.
Is anyone watching The Night Of on HBO? If not, start immediately! It's great. And, as a bonus Omar from The Wire/Chalky from Boardwalk Empire is a main character, and he's already great. I hope they turn it into a full series somehow.

hamster, I hate sharing stories like this, but I'd also wait. With my first pregnancy, I bought these two adorable sheep for the nursery when I was like 5 minutes pregnant. Unfortunately I lost the pregnancy and it took 2+ years to get pregnant again. I packed those sheep and carried them to 3 different homes in 3 different states and I still haven't been able to use them, despite now being 32 weeks with #2. They sit in a drawer in the guest room, unused, but I can't bear to donate them.
On the flip side, I also bought a shape sorter around the same time that DD now uses and I harbor no grief/anxiety/emotional attachment to that. Maybe you won't have any attachment to the stroller either, and it will be OK. But it's a $$ item and I wouldn't put that much cash toward something this early.
With DD1, I didn't buy a single thing until 32 weeks, and we had everything we "needed" with plenty of time to spare. This time, I waited until 30 weeks to buy a few things, and we still don't have furniture. You do have time to buy and there will be other opportunities.

I swear I'm close to a nervous breakdown. The house is more and more of a money pit. I can't get the kids registered for schools or sports or get my driver's license without two forms of residency proof (which I don't have yet), the doctor in London didn't give me vaccination records so I can't get them into a doctor for school physicals, my parents are more work than help, its like having 4 kids instead of 2, my husband was no use this weekend and I swear has become a complete moron in the past two years (he could not figure out how he would get proof of ssn for the DMV), and he is also now out of town. The painters have taken over the entire house and the kids are going even more nuts because they can't go inside. The realtor who said she would be full service and help get settled is MIA and actively avoiding an email.
I just want to drink and I don't even have a drinking buddy or know where to go!
Yeah...I'm obviously worried about it not working out and being stuck with this large item. I had no intention of buying anything like this for a while, but it's such a good price. The ones on Craigslist are twice as much. I'm really torn.
DH and I just handed over our grocery list, a stack of coupons, and a debit card to DSS and the girls and sent them off to do the grocery shopping. I've been waiting for this day for ages.
