I missed a call the other day from a number I did not recognize but didn't think much of it, figured it was just a wrong number (it was a number local to my cell phone, not my current location, so when that happen it's always a wrong number). Anyway, I just got around to checking the voicemail and it was a doctor's office telling someone named Michael that he has a UTI and needs to get medication. LOL. Poor Michael must be in pain.
The other night my husband checked the milk, saw it was no good, and instead of getting rid of it, PUT IT BACK IN THE FRIDGE. So this morning when I got new milk, I had to dump out the old chunky one. Nice DH.
I'm at the police station now turning in my report for the identity theft I found out about last week. *sigh* such a pain in my rear. I placed a fraud alert already, but it only lasts 90 days unless you also file a police report. Then you can get an extension to 7 years.
We bought shelving materials yesterday, and I think we're going to build the pantry shelves today. I'm so excited to get our pantry food out of the kitchen cabinets.

pooh8402 - My H just went through that and actually went ahead and froze his credit reports. There was a small fee associated and it's a hassle if you have plans to apply for any cards (because you have to get it unfrozen), but nobody can even apply for anything and ding your credit then.
I can believe that my house is a wreck already. It was clean until H got home late Saturday night. I don't understand how 1 person can make such a mess in a few days. My brother and SIL will be over Thursday until we leave for my sister's so I need to try and get it back in order.

You should get rolling drawers!! DH installed some like this in our pantry
We got them at Lowe's. They made me love my pantry 1000% more.

See, we went to Lowe's yesterday and didn't find anything like this! I was thinking we might install wire basket drawers on one (or more) of the shelves, similar to that but they'll be attached to a non-moving shelf.
bk1 - I'm not sure why I can't find a picture of what I'm talking about but I'm thinking something like this, where there are sliding baskets are attached to a stationary shelf:

Sounds like it would work nicely! Trust me, so worth doing it!
I always ignore calls from numbers I don't know. I have gotten a call from an RN checking in on me due to my recent diagnosis (preterm labor), a case manager wanting to tell me about free resources related to my diagnosis, and they sent a letter requesting I join some special beginnings program. All of these come from my insurance company and I don't trust any of it. Maybe I'm just paranoid but I think insurance companies are just looking for ways to not cover you.

If your insurance company is H, there is no ill will behind it. They offer H Beginnings to all pregnant women. There are benefits on both ends - 1) from a public health perspective, if you weren't you (a nurse) and didn't know the right things to do for your baby, they could guide you to resources in your area, have a health educator walk you through decisions you may need to make, etc. 2) on the company's end, it keeps women from going to ER unnecessarily, so it saves them money to make sure you are educated.
Eta: it's probably pretty much the same even if it's a diff company.
wanderingenough I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my H nurse with H Beginnings. (MrsAggie I loved the program.) But when we moved to A...that was a different story. I swapped to their program because of the insurance changed and thus got a new nurse. When my due date came, the nurse I had been talking with on their program called me incessantly. Like some of her messages felt aggressive....to call her back "ASAP!" Now, I had L 15 days early and was in the trenches with a colicky newborn....so calling her back was low on my priority list. When I got out of the fog one day, I decided I didn't want to call her back because it was annoying. She finally stopped calling. I MISS H LOL.
I am confused by the insurance abbreviations in this poat.
Haha! Don't feel bad. Melb is just continuing the pattern I set of not using the company name because someoneeee may be associated with one of the companies. H and A are just two of the big well known health plans in the US.
I can think of 3 As, lol. One of them is my insurance company (but technically it's ABCBS) and another was my old insurance that's now related to H. My guess is the 3rd A though
I can think of like 4 A's! No idea on the H. Your efforts at anonymity are successful. lol.
Ha! Google health insurance mergers. It should be the first thing that comes up. That company and one of the As are in the midst of a major battle with the DOJ right now.

I enrolled in the Healthy Beginnings program with my insurance and I didn't really find it that helpful - basically the case worker called me twice, gave me info I already knew, and asked me a bunch of questions. The times I tried to call her, she didn't return my calls. She is nice, but I don't feel like I got anything out of it.
The main reason I enrolled is because it's connected to DH's employer so we get an incentive (cash) for enrolling and completing the program. Of course, the payment for enrolling got all jacked up so that was another hassle. Hopefully the one for completing it goes smoothly.
