we have over the air for local channels...it's free, and really crisp..not like the olden days, rabbit ear style..
we "have" netflix and hulu (sharing accounts with people), so we technically don't pay for anything. we have 3 households on each account. h and i pay nothing for tv, so yeah, it saves us money. both are not absolutely necessary..hulu is better for up-to-date programming, netflix is better for documentaries (i prefer netflix). we had only one or the other for a long time. we've only had both for maybe a total of 3 months.
we don't have tivo, dvr..we watch everything on our schedule on hulu or netflix...we're not really big on tv *anyways*.
we don't religiously watch sports...but the football games are usually played on fox or something..and we get that.
