Today is my last day!!!! Ahhhhh!!!! I had my exit interview with HR yesterday and I threw my manager under the bus sooo hard. The HR lady kept doing the open mouth, hard blinking, head shaking WTF face. I felt so much better after getting all of that off my chest.
Oh no, no, no. Fingers crossed for a strong rebound, hamster.
raangoli, I don't mean to pry if you're not comfortable sharing any more than you have, but have you shared your concerns with your pediatrician?
I haven't been able to find my debit card for over a month. I know it is around here somewhere, but I couldn't find it. It's for a second account that I only rarely use, so I've making do without it, although DH was urging me to call and cancel and request a replacement. I didn't want to because I did it a few years ago and later found the original wedged next to my driver's seat in the car. Well, guess who received an email from the bank saying the cards of customers who shopped at a certain retailer (unnamed) may have been compromised, so as a precaution, they are canceling the cards and sending new ones? That's right, this guy! I know all of this was completely irrational and illogical, but I am still left feeling like patience is a virtue so just let me bask lol.
I got a bonus at work yesterday. We normally do quarterly bonuses, but they didn't do first quarter since company profits were low.
Anyway, I'm being painfully MM and 100% of it went into savings. I was planning on self-paying my grad tuition, but had to take out loans for this fall. Well, now I have enough in savings for the winter semester!
sfy, BB has a well visit next week (Friday) so we will ask then. Basically, she could not care less about where a noise comes from. I feel like she sometimes cares, but others it's "meh". She passed her hearing test just fine, so we pretty sure she can hear. I asked her caregiver this morning, and she said that since BB is a laid back, calm baby, it could just be her personality. <side bar: where did this laid back, calm baby get her personality? she has to take after her dad because it sure as hell isn't from me.>
My work computer is painfully slow right now. I've cleared cookies and the cache, restarted, closed unused programs and tabs, but it has spurts where it just lags. We're down to one IT guy nowadays and he's busy right now. Bah.

My furniture and the rest of my stuff came yesterday!!! OMG, how do I have so much CRAP!!!!!
And a self high five for dealing with 4 movers, 2 painters (who managed to be directly in the way at all times), 2 four year olds, 1 sick mom, 1 wildly obnoxious and controlling dad, and 1 out of town husband.
And today my new rug came! It covers up the insanely ugly floor, well most of it at least.
Since mom is close to moving out, every day brings some exciting new random housewares mom picks up at craigslist/Goodwill/ValueVillage/etc. Last night it was an electric vegetable peeler.
I'm just trying to visualize the moment it will all be out of the house.

Ah okay. Since her hearing is fine, that probably is the case, but I hope the pediatrician will absolutely confirm the caregiver's opinion.
On another note, why do I love everything I ever hear about BB (heart) ? OF COURSE, she is laid back lol. Save

LOL I knew you would love that. She seriously is so chill. Like the babies around her will cry and she will be like "whatever". She does get super excited to look out the window. She will climb over you to do that. Again, she's like her dad - she needs to know what's going on outside.

It's my last day of the week and of course I'm getting inundated with work. But, whatever, I'm outies tomorrow folks!
And, tomorrow DD and I are making our weekly trip to WF, where we will (hopefully/inevitably) see my favorite WF hottie clerk, who not only remembers DD and says hello to her very enthusiastically, but last week even remembered her name when he said hello. Ahahaha. Yes, I'm using her as a shill to mildly flirt with him. Such a cutie. Sorry DH!
I'm also slightly blasting my "totally awesome 80s" station on pandora and Like a Virgin came on loud and clear. I'm pretty sure other folks can't hear outside my office, but...I'm not getting up to close my door, it's too damn hot in here. The ML thread on Christian rock has me paranoid.
I'm feeling so guilty. My manager decided to have a farewell party for me (this hasn't ever happened for anyone else). She bought pizza, a cake, and a gift card. All I could think about was how pissed she's going to be that she did all of that when she gets spoken to about things that were brought up at my exit interview. Haha oops.

Did you do a disk clean up and defrag? Those are my go to answers, if it's your computer and not net connection. Oh yeah, clean up all those shortcuts you have on your desktop (my coworker loves those).

Do not feel guilty. While it was nice of her, it was a little too late. You were honest as you should have been. Her behavior is on her.

If it helps ease your mind you can ask for an EI consult. I don't know what the rules are in your state, but E qualified automatically because of her birth weight and they were wonderful. For the first year they basically just listened to concern and told me my baby was adorable, but it felt so good to be heard.

She actually just had her NICU follow up, which is very similar to EI. She will be seen again in October and they will do another hearing test then, too. The doctor didn't mention any concerns about her hearing, and it's standard to test again at 6 months adjusted. After that, they will follow her every 6 months until the age of 3.
sfyijack I think BB is punking me. Today she decided that she would squeal so I squealed back. Then she copied me. She hears just fine. Kids are jerks lol.

Typical BB . She has so much personality to be so young, I can't wait until she is talking!

I love baby squeals, almost as much as baby laughs.
