I've done it twice, and it's like a really awesome bath in the dark, but I tend to get bored before my hour is over, and the second time I did it I got too hot and had to open the door (but it was a pod tank and because of the way it is hinged it was either all of the way open, or closed, which was annoying).
Bring a wide toothed comb for your hair after, because it will get tangled.
I'm not worried about being bored, I'm pretty good at doing nothing.
I'm good at doing nothing too! But this was just not my thing. For what it costs I'd rather have a nice massage. Floating seemed like such a waste of time to me.

My husband has done it and LOVES it. His is in a small room and not in a pod though. He has a lot of pain issues and we thought this would be another way to help deal with them. It definitely helps him for the day he goes but doesn't have much of a lasting effect. He is super relaxed afterwards. I wish we could afford to send him more often
He did say that the first time was weird because it does take awhile to get used to (and they warn you of that on the website). He's gone about 4 times now.
I really want to try this but haven't because I don't know how to relax, so I feel like it will be a waste of money. It sounds so great to me in theory, though.
It's supposedly nearly impossible to drown. First, it's not very deep. Second, it's highly salivated water, so you float really easily; they say it's hard to even roll over.

This is how I felt. Sure it was relaxing, but it wasn't the feel good type of relaxing that I get from a massage. Your experience that you wrote about on your blog was basically my experience, except that I never fell asleep. I definitely think it is overpriced and I doubt I would ever spend money to do it again.
