How awful would this be in first tri? I really need to get some exercise, but my regular goal is 10k and my reach 12,3. I can manage 10 if I work at it, but I'd think 12k would be hard.

Ooh I just realized I can use my Vivofit for this if I sync it to Apple Health and use that with the step bet app - winning! I'm in! hamster and grover I really enjoyed walking during pregnancy (throughout). I wasn't able to run with morning sickness because it would make me puke, but was glad to still be able to walk a lot. I think you have to decide what works for you, though.

gt7301b curious, is your apple data populated by a 3rd party app? I am populating my apple data with steps from my vivofit so I wonder if that is causing issues for me.

Yes, that is exactly what is happening. I moved my Garmin above the iPhone in the app and it is still linking the iPhone data to StepBet.
So if you miss the goal for one week does that mean you're completely out? My goals are 12k and 15k. The 15 is intimidating. Moreso, though, I'm worried about if I'm sick or if my doc tells me to "take it easy" like my last pregnancy.

I even had my iPhone data unlinked to Health and it is STILL pulling my iPhone data. Oddly enough, it clearly used my garmin populated data to make my goals because my step goals are on par with my garmin step averages. Are you going to email tech support?

This first week doesn't count, but yes, you're out if you don't get four active and two stretch days (you pick).
Do you have to stay with the same active days every week? Or as long as you meet your goal for 4 days you are ok?

I'm not joining because I'm already in a step bet and you can join one at a time, but one of my best tips is don't rule out walking in place or just around the house as a way to get steps. A lot of nights I'm walking in place while watching tv to get my goals in.

I emailed them and they said they only use the Apple data. I can't decide if I want to stay in the bet or not. My step goal shouldn't really be a problem and I almost always have my phone with me, but the apple steps tend to be off by about 10% a day.

Ugggh I might drop out then. I always have my phone with me but not necessarily on me, so the step count is usually only between 500 and 1000, nowhere near my step goals. Stepbet needs to change its wording. They don't pull from "Apple health," they are pulling from iPhone's internal motion tracking.

I got the extra 5000 steps I needed to make it to a stretch day last night by pacing the living room while watching Olympics! This will be much harder when I stop staying up until midnight for primetime Olympic coverage.
This is harder than I thought. I had a bunch of meetings yesterday which ended in me working 14 hours at a desk. Not much for steps. I've almost hit the goal for today though.
