That's because the owner is shady and goes to great lengths to keep reviews completely monitored by herself, or disabled in general. If it was a truly superior product, and she was a good person (she isn't!!) then she wouldn't need to strictly monitor them.
Moo n Cookies owner is repeatedly rude
Moo n Cookies reviews are not all legitimate
Moo n Cookies reviews are heavily sensored by the owner
Doesn't google prioritize pages you've already visited? I think that's why it's showing up on the first page for you.
My H hasn't ever googled Moo n Cookies or Moo n Cookies review and it's on the first page when he searches on his phone. Not sure if it matters that we're both on the same wifi though?
She has a dog. I'm sure if her kid is permitted in the kitchen the dog is too.
She also feeds the dog a raw food diet, according to at least a few posts on here. For a home kitchen that illegally ships nationwide, illegally operates in regards to her child being in the vicinity, and I'm sure a plethora of other things that we are unaware of or not coming up with yet, I'm not sure she is who I would be entrusting for no cross contamination/the best cleaning practices.
We feed our dog a raw food diet (bought specifically for him, not salad obvs). I didn't think it was that weird... I'm assuming you're side-eyeing the cleanliness of her kitchen with raw meat around, though.

Yes, with her lack of regard for all other laws regarding her kitchen and home based business, I would be leery of her kitchen cleanliness as a whole. Otherwise, yay raw dog food! Not weird

Do you question Moo n Cookies kitchen cleanliness because, per her own publicity, she does not use gloves in the preparation or packaging of Moo n Cookies products? Because I sure do! Ew! Hope she wasn't preparing raw dog food just prior to preparing your cookies!

I have noticed that as well. They use a tiny spatula while placing the products in bags, but no gloves. No gloves while sealing the product bags, or cutting them, either. I do not see why wearing gloves wouldn't be an additional cleanliness precaution.
Also, as per a previous Moo n Cookies review, Moo n Cookies have been found with hairs in the product and the owner was rude in response and did not care or offer a remedy.
And per another previous Moo n Cookies review, Moo n Cookies have been found with several ants inside the sealed box, indicating they were there prior to shipping. Again, the owner was rude, didn't seem to care, and did not offer a remedy.
Additionally, Moo n Cookies owner is a vile human being who made up having a child with a terminal disease, then furthered the lie by stating that child died, and then trolled several grief boards and blogs looking for blog clicks, attention and sympathy. She is not the kind of person I would choose to support with my personal income, and I feel confident that many other people feel similarly.
What are the rules on baking barefoot? (See news segment.)
I noticed this as well. I don't think it's specifically addressed in cottage food laws, because it seems obvious (lol), but they do require a food handlers card, so I'm guessing it's covered there. However, I think the same can be said for gloves, particularly while packaging, and those are definitely missing as well.
I think it's safe to say that Moo n Cookies is unsanitary and does not abide by state of Arizona guidelines.
Also, she's removed all pictures of her son/baking process from her Moo n Cookies Facebook page. If she were operating a legal business within the parameters as defined by Arizona, I don't think she would need to cover her trail.

Moo n Cookies review
There's still a video from March 16 that shows her son baking in the kitchen and her barefoot. They do at least seem to be wearing hairnets?
Yep, that's why I said pictures. That's her promo video, also on her website. But any actual pictures with him in the kitchen are gone.
It's also in that video that you can very blatantly see the lack of gloves while packaging, including a nice close up of one employee's hands/fingers inside the bag to open it for a bar, followed by using his fingers to help scoop the next bar onto the spatula.
And her DS pouring ingredients into the products. I get it, my kids like to help bake too. But those things stay at home with us, not shipped out nationwide.

If her son is anything like mine, I can't imagine she'd get any cookies shipped if he actually helped with baking customers' products. DS loves baking, but OMFG it takes forever to do anything.
From the Arizona Dept of Health Services (#2 and 11 on the list): Keep non-employees (children, guests) and pets/animals out of the prep area during processing.
Use gloves that have been approved for use with food to handle ready to eat foods. Wash your hands before putting on clean gloves. Change gloves when they become soiled, torn, after taking a break or starting a new task.
This is the first time in more than a year I've done something remotely close to my graduate degree field, hahahaha.
You realize you are making a roadmap for her to delete incriminating things, right? She can't post here but she can read it!
I mean, nothing is ever really gone from the Internet but there are the newspaper article(s?) and local news segment anyway.
It's already been deleted. But the news articles and segments can't be deleted, obviously. rikki already said she contacted the state, if she didn't start to delete incriminating things right then I'm not sure what would finally propel her to do so. She's been silent on her Moo n Cookies Facebook page, other than to say they had "problems" and couldn't do the planned live chat yesterday.
But at this point she's really in a tight spot- completely drop her entire customer base because she cannot legally ship her products, which is currently the only way she conducts business? Or continue operating illegally while knowing the state has been contacted by at least one person? Or I guess a third option would be to operate from an official commercial kitchen.
She doesn't have the best track record with deleting, well, anything. Hence this all finally unraveling with a plethora of evidence. I'm sure there are screenshots out there somewhere...
Here is the recipe for our “Booby Bites” (…and yes, I feel a little strange just typing that!)
1 cup of old-fashioned oatmeal 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup ground flaxseed 1 cup shredded coconut 1/3 cup of honey 1/2 tablespoon Brewer’s Yeast 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1. Combine the dry ingredients first: oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chips, Brewer’s Yeast, and flax seed.
2. Add the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla and turn your mixer on low (or stir together).
3. Refrigerate mixture for at least one hour.
4. Remove from the refrigerator and roll the mixture into small balls.
And if you are REALLY limited on time, you can skip step 4 and just grab a spoon and dig in.
I mean.. it's not magic. It's just baking cookies with well-known galactagogues. Or couldn't you make oatmeal and throw that other stuff in? I didn't bf so forgive me if I am missing something, but the whole lactation cookie industry is lost on me.
There are a billion recipes for lactation cookies on the internet. So yeah I don't really get paying for them. They are pretty easy to make. I made them trying to increase my supply for DD and I'm not sure if they worked, but they were yummy. I stopped eating them, because I was gaining weight.

No, you're completely correct. It's just cookies/bars/brownies sound more appealing than oatmeal, lol. Her galactagogues are brewers yeast, almonds, oats and flaxseed. I think those are all fairly well known if people want to look into it.
@starry, I agree, the Aussie bites from Costco seem suitable with their ingredients.
ETA: people pay for them out of convenience. Or because the recipes they've tried taste like cardboard (or whatever) and these are touted as much tastier. I mean, we could all cook at home too, but I'm sure a lot of us enjoy paying a restaurant to take over that task out of convenience from time to time.

I understand you logically but the website made it seem like a MIRACLE. And I think it is for some. Pooh for instance had great results. You see the pictures of going from pumping 3 ounces a session to 10 ounces and you are all WHY NOT ME. Similar to weight loss drinks, etc. When you are trying to eek out whatever pumped milk you can it's a vulnerable time and money seems less important.
On a business side I would expect she's experimented to find the best combination
Yes. And when you (not you, you) get passionate about breastfeeding, and a month's supply of cookies would cost the same (or less?) than a month's supply of formula, I can see how and why people go that route before going to formula.
She should hire a photographer. I don't know if her pics are just skeeving me out knowing that there might be hair/ants/e. coli in the bars, but they don't make the food look tempting at all.
I've thought the same thing, but before the hair/ants/e. coli (lol) reviews. They do look pretty unappealing.
Where were they at in the store? I keep meaning to look for them.
Mine are near the racks of bread (commercial bread, not their bakery bread), tortillas, those mini cinnamon rolls they sell, english muffins, etc. I think I've also seen them in the "snack" area- with all of the candy bars, boxes of individually packaged goldfish, cookies (Oreos, not their bakery stuff), etc.
