I have been struggling with the fact that the title of the book is "Lick," I'm not going to lie. But holy cow, you guys. Why did I put off reading this for so long?! I read it in like a day and a half, and as soon as I finished it (at midnight last night), I nearly went back and started it over again immediately. These books are right up my alley. Thanks for all of the recommendations for this series! The second and third books are not in my library e-book system, so I just bought them and put a hold request on the 4th book. Are the other books as good as this first one was?
This has been a summer of NA romance for me. You guys have been great with all the recommendations you've given me, so thanks for that. Has anyone gotten into any of Kylie Scott's other books?
As an aside, though - why would the library have only the 4th book as an e-book? They have the whole series on audiobook, but only book 4 as an ebook. Silly.
Yay! So glad you liked it! I do have to say that book #2 is probably my least favorite out of the whole series but I still liked it (Mal's humor is just a little over the top for my taste). But the last two books I loved. So, enjoy!
I haven't read any of her other books yet, unfortunately.
And then I read Play in about 6 hours last night. And had to stop myself from starting #3 at 1:30 in the morning so I would actually get some sleep. This series is killing me; I'm so tired!
I've really been devouring the NA genre this summer too. I read (and loved) the Stage Dive series based on ufcasey's recommendation.
I can't really pinpoint what it is about the genre that I really like. Maybe it's the youthfulness and young love of YA, but with steamy sex? Best of both worlds?
I'm reading one now where the MC's are roadtripping for months and doing odd jobs to support it. I don't know that I recommend it (The Edge of Never is the first), but I'm still devouring it.

I like The Edge of Never but didn't care for the second book as much.

Yea, the second is just.... meh. Too much drama, too unrealistic. I'm about 75% through it right now and just want to be done.
I'm on the last Stage Dive book now. I think the first one is still my fave. The third one, with the lead singer, where was all the sexy time?! I think I was like, 67% through the book before anyone had any sex at all. I like the humor in this series, too, though. I've caught myself laughing out loud a couple of times. And the writing is better than some of the other ones that I've read. They're sort of formulaic, in that all four books kind of feel like the same story with different main characters, but I've really enjoyed the series.
Also, you guys, my head is so far in the gutter with reading all this smut lately! I was just out at my friend's desk chatting with her and a guy we work with walked by on his way out. The second he was around the corner, I immediately asked my friend if she thinks he's a good lay. OMG. I need to stop.
