I think I had this once or twice with my DD, but now I can't remember. How concerned should I be about seeing some black, spots and waviness in the corners of my vision this morning? It started after I came home from a pretty strenuous 8 mile run, about halfway through breakfast. I imagine it's probably blood pressure related because it's worse when I stand up from my desk and walk around. It's more weird than anything, but I don't want to blow it off if it's a sign of something I should be worried about.
This happened to me frequently in the 1st half of my pregnancy, but generally only after standing up. For me, it was definitely blood pressure related (early on my BP was routinely 80/50, it has since gone up a bit). I'd be a bit concerned that it happened after your run (I'm a runner too and haven't experience that), and I'm not sure its wise to be pushing yourself to complete strenuous runs. I'd talk to your doctor about that.

It seems to be diminishing. I think it's probably blood pressure, as you say - mine is typically pretty low. I felt fine during the run and my doctor knows how much I run, so I'm not too worried about that. I would absolutely back off if I felt bad while running.
Did it happen right after standing? When my blood pressure is low, that can happen.
However visual auras can be a sign of serious stuff so I would definitely put in a call to your medical provider.
Do you have a blood pressure cuff at home?
Yes mainly after standing up. It's diminishing now though. I am going in to have a meet and greet with the midwife at a birth center in an hour, so I might ask her if I should go get checked out. Her office is right by my regular OBGYN's office.
It's been happening to me a lot since I've been on Procardia (which is actually a heart medication and lowers my BP more). I know it's not pre-e because I had some protein in my urine last time so we repeated with a clean catch and it was negative for protein. My BPs have also been really good.
I did get visual disturbances when I had pre-e but what was most noticeable was like overnight I was blind. I would look at a strip center we were driving by and not be able to read the big fluorescent signs above the shops.

Mine was low blood pressure combined with low blood sugar... the pressure would bring it on from sitting to standing, quick movement etc (mine is traditionally low like 90-90/55-60). Combined with low blood sugar it would get worse.
