I'm reading The Sunshine and Biscotti Club by Jenny Oliver and listening to Blueberry Muffin Murder by Joanne Fluke.
Random: I was diagnosed with a 30% hearing loss in one ear and a 40% loss in the other only after my piano teacher noticed that I missed an obvious wrong note.
I'm reading The Edge of Always. The first book (The Edge of Never) was decent, but this one is meh.
I'm listening to Truly Madly Yours. It's OK. I'm not expecting it to be amazing, just a typical Romance. There hasn't been any sex scenes yet so I'll reserve judgement.
Hmm...random fact? I won a state athletic award for Cheerleading in HS. lol.

I would say that I'm reading A Man Called Ove (Fredrik Backman), but I'm having a really hard time getting into it and I haven't read it in a few days, turning instead to some trashy romances.
Random ... I applied to the US Air Force as an officer candidate after college, but this was at a time when they were battling budget cuts and so they had 1 space for every 10 applicants, so I was turned down.
I was born with my fully tongue rooted to the bottom of my mouth and the doctors told my parents there was a very high possibility that I would never be able to speak.
Still reading Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson (87% of 1,087 pages). I'm also listening to The Last Mile by David Baldacci which is the second book in a series and is disappointingly bland so far compared to the first book (that I loved).
Random: If being a carb-itarian was a thing, that would be me. And I don't care. Haha

Grr, I was next in line for "The Girl on the Train" after a long wait (2nd one, the first time it came up I was reading something else), I put a suspension on it since I didn't think I'd get to it. Long story short, went to remove the suspension and lost my hold. Now I'm 12th in line. Grr Overdrive! So that was a long winded I don't know yet. I work at a college so I hope to sneak off to the Library on lunch break. Book therapy sounds awesome today
QOTW: Hmm, I'm not that interesting. I came in 2nd place in the entire 5th grade in Book Jeopardy. I've also never eaten Taco Bell in my entire life.

I'm still reading The Angel's Share. I have only been reading like 15 minutes a day since tge Olympics started. They are almost over though so back to reading.
Random: I hate Apple products. Everyone says they are so easy to use but everytime I pick one up I am never able to do what I want to do with them.
I'm not sure what I want to read next. I'm thinking the next in a romance series I've been reading, HP reread, or The Sea of Tranquility. I'm on vacay with my family so I'm never sure how much time I'll have to read.
Random fact: I like to learn and I'm competitve. I won the school district spelling bee in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I won the reading award each year in middle school (based on # books read and comprehension). I won the science fair in 6th and 7th grade but not 8th which forever will irritate me lol.

I also hate apple products. I had much better luck with the battery on my iphone4, but I could never figure out how to do anything with it. My kindle was much cheaper and easy to use than an ipad.
Update: I picked up Miss Pelligren's Home For the Peculiar Children and Neil Patrick Harris Choose Your Own Autobiography. Normally I don't like to read 2 at once, but I figured the autobiography is easier to jump in and out of without losing the plot.
I'm reading Midair by Kodi Scheer. Thankfully it was a Kindle First because it is not very good. It is holding my attention a bit and it's an easy quick read so I will probably finish it anyway.
Interesting fact? I have been an only child, a youngest, an oldest, and a middle child.

I just started Three Sisters, Three Queens by Philippa Gregory. I finished The Singles Game by Lauren Weisberger yesterday, and I really liked it. I played on the boys tennis team in HS since we didn't have a girls team, so while I usually don't enjoy sports-themed books I liked that one.
QOTW: I've played the flute for 32 years now. When I was in college (music major), I played in the pit orchestra for a musical and they asked if I played flute and piccolo so I said sure...and proceeded to have to borrow a piccolo from a friend because I had NEVER played one before! I have one now, though, and this weekend is the last weekend for Bye, Bye, Birdie, for which I am playing flute and picc. Hahahaha!

Having caught up with the Emma Lord/Alpine Advocate mysteries, I went back to Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. But that's a pretty heavy, intense book for out & about reading, so I popped Princess Elizabeth's Spy by Susan Elia MacNeal to read while I was making/serving soup at DH's work. I'm only a chapter into that and I am already amazed. I knew there were rumors that Edward VIII was a German-sympathizer in WWII, but I thought that's all they were. I know it's a work of fiction, but still, I'm surprised the Palace allowed that theory too be explored as much as it was in just the prologue/first chapter. I heard that the whole Wallis Simpson affair was to provide a plausible excuse for abdication, and if that didn't work there were rumblings that an "accident would have befallen" Edward VIII, but I am still surprised how blatant and obvious the opening of the book is running with that conspiracy theory.
QOTW: I'm allergic to beets, which normally is not a problem, but the Aussies have a love affair with beetroot I just do not understand. They are everywhere on everything -- burgers, salads, wraps, egg salad sandwiches. Enough already with the beets!
I'm reading The Girl from the Savoy by Hazel Gaynor. #82 for the year.
Random Fact: I've never dyed my hair.
Neither have I, unless you count the slight green tinge it developed when I took swimming in college. It looked like copper that was developing a patina, and not in a good way.
The Procrastinator's Handbook: Mastering the Art of Doing It Now - yes I'm still (putting off) reading this, shut up.
I have set a deadline for finishing it though, I'll be back at the library on the 27th, and I and I plan to be done with it by then so it's not staring me in the face every day.
The Postman Always Rings Twice - this is part of my challenge to read 5 of Modern Library's 100 Best Novels. The writing style is very frenetic, but it's a decent story. Although I'm kind of laughing that it was "Banned in Boston," because by today's standards it's pretty tame thus far (I'm halfway through it).
Children of the Frost - short stories by Jack London. It's just OK. I started it because I finished my other book and it was on my Kindle and I wasn't going to get out of bed to find something else.
Random Fact: I once photobombed a group taking a picture with Steve Ballmer.
