Yes... but after I started kindergarten. I have an early September birthday and I don't think it was common back then for kids to go to preschool, plus I think my mom wanted to stay home with us. I started Kindergarten as a newly minted 5 year old that was way too attached to the apron strings. I cried EVERY day. I still remember it. It was traumatic! My kindergarten teacher (according to my mom) said maybe preschool would be a better option.
So, I went to preschool at 5 and started Kindergarten at 6. I was much more mature and I was always the oldest in my class.

No preschool for me, since my mom was a SAHM. I started Kindergarten fine, and I was always in honors classes, so I don't think I missed out on anything
Nope, my mom stayed home and actually homeschooled us for most of my life. We started doing "school" things before I was kindergarten aged, and I learned to read before I started kindergarten. I don't think I missed anything by not going to preschool.

I hadn't even heard of preschool until I was in like late elementary school. It wasn't even kind of the radar for us. I did start kindergarten at 4 (5 in November), though.
My parents didn't want me to be the weird only child who didn't know how to socialize, so I was put into a ton of actives as a kid. Joke's on them that I'm still a weird only child.
i went to preschool for one year.....my brother did not. i always enjoyed school, my brother did not..and he's definitely dumber than the average bear. i wonder if preschool had something to do with it......

Tman went to 2 years of co-op preschool and one year of all day drop-off pre-K for this reason.
I had 2 years of preschool. I remember really enjoying it. I still have some very distinct memories from there, including biting a boy because I wanted to play with the Tonka dump truck and he wouldn't let me because he was. LOL. (I remember liking it's thick rubber steampipes on the cabin.)
