Ugh, I'm so sorry. As if regular food aversions and restrictions weren't enough. I hope you get the hang of the diet soon and fingers crossed for smooth sailing from here on out.

Gah! I understand . 1st pregnancy tested positive. Second pregnant they made me take it around 9 weeks as well. Both tests I blew so high I didn't get a 3 hour either

I'm sorry. It sucks but I swear there's a silver lining. I had GD my first pregnancy - it was diet controlled and by a couple weeks after I delivered I had lost all the weight. I think I was actually thinner than before. My second and third pregnancy I did not have GD, and I gained and gained and have 40 lbs to lose.
I'm sorry! I have blood sugar on the higher end even when not pregnant and it sucks. But I highly recommend looking into glycemic index eating. I don't know if it's as effective for pregnancy/GD, but it was eye-opening to see what easy changes I could make without feeling like I was depriving myself.
I'm sorry. I may join you in a few weeks - we can meal plan together. I had GD last time and diabetes runs in my family. Maybe they'll make me test early.
And yes to less weight gain and the weight all came off within a few weeks after delivery (and then some)!
I'm sorry. I was so upset when I failed the 3 hour test. In the end, it wasn't that bad and it helped keep my weight gain under control. But afterwards I went on a carb/sugar binge and gained a bunch of weight. So I don't recommend doing that!
I'm sorry A. The initial diagnosis and just trying to get a handle on how to change my diet was the worst. Once I figured out what foods worked for keeping my numbers low, it got better. ((Hugs))
Ugh, I'm sorry. You seem to have a good outlook on it though!
It was rough for me at first but once I figured out what I could eat I just sort of went on auto pilot and stuck to that. It ended up not being as bad as I thought it would be- it was all about eating protein with carbs to keep blood sugar in check. I do remember how much I cherished my fruit during those months though, it was like my treat.
There are quite a few of us on here who have dealt with it so don't hesitate to reach out if you need help/suggestions.

I'm sorry! I'm taking the one hour right now and I'm 10 weeks. They're testing me early since I had it last time. On the bright side, at least you were spared from the 3 hour test. Do you have to take insulin shots now, or just follow the diet?
