@natariru, I have been thinking on asking the parents in R's class if they want to go to the park one morning this fall for coffee and playtime. You may have convinced me to finally do it.
I had to do a health screening this morning for insurance. Nothing like getting weighed and having body fat measured 5 weeks pp and knowing it could change your insurance rates. Ugh
I have a boring day today, I'm on a photo set for work but all my tailoring work was finished yesterday. So I have nothing to do but sit around and hang out. I don't think I can be dismissed because I need to be here if anything comes up, but I hope the day goes fast and I don't have to drive home during rush hour. Unlikely, though.
It's my birthday and I think N was up 7 times last night He seems like he's coming down with something. So tired. Hopefully I can get a quick nap in between work and picking him up.
We were going to drive to FILs this weekend to see my 3 SILs who are in town but DH worked until 8 last night and doesn't know when he will get off today so it's not worth it for just 1 day At least we will get the house cleaned up!
We're getting R's newborn photos done today! Of course he woke up this morning with a pimple on his cheekÂ
Yay for pics! Your photog should be able to make the pimple disappear in editing. Ds2 was super blotchy for his pics and looks perfect in the final versions. The day before his 6 month pics, ds1 scratched his nose with a rogue fingernail and has a 2" long gash. she edited that out too.

Your ds will look adorable!
Thanks! Yeah that's what I figured, I think I'm just traumatized by all my years of dealing with pimples (still do sometimes)
So DS decided he was ready to potty train. He peed in the toilet before bath last night. And other than overnight, he's been completely dry and has told us when he needs to use the potty 3 more times. So.
Of course we're on vacation. Plans for amusement parks and a long drive home, so not the best time to potty train. I think we'll just buy some pull ups to get through until we get home. Hopefully that doesn't ruin any progress. Though he's in diapers now, so would be just about the same for him. The pull up is for my convenience.

Well I guess we found out the cause of L's bedtime issues the last few nights - ear infection. I'm glad I brought her in before the weekend. Poor kid must be so uncomfortable but doesn't really show it. So it's our first time with antibiotics, I'm a little nervous about a reaction with her having food allergies (no idea if the risk of one increases the risk of the other, I'll ask the pharmacist). Also, my MIL is watching her tonight while we go to a Sox game. Being away from her after her first doses is making me a little nervous but I can trust my MIL to handle it if needed I guess, and we can shoot home if anything comes up.
I just got a call from some random wanting to know about the history of the college in the 19th century because his grandfather went here. WTF? How did he even get my number? He asked for me specifically. I have only been here for four years and am a chemist, not a historian. :?
BOO for having a marathon of calls from 8:30-4:30 ... no breaks at all. Also triple booked. I wish people knew how to use the calender/scheduler in outlook.

Got new jeans fron ON in the mail yesterday...I am IN LOVE. They're skinny without feeling sausage-like, but still small enough to tuck into boots this fall. And they come up hugh enough to squish in any muffin top (aka my mom fat) without looking like mom jeans. Plus when I ordered they were $15, and they come in different lengths which is great for this 5'10" lady (GT1 I ordered longs, NOT talls because usually the tall pants are wayyyyy too long).
My parents are picking AJ up from the sitters and keeping him overnight so I am kidless until tomorrow afternoon...SQUEEE! I think I'm going to celebrate National Dog Day by going home and snuggling with the hounds all night.

H was working on the basement until 10:45 last night when I went down and told him he had to stop. Really loud construction noises right below our bedroom that I couldn't sleep through, plus he kept scaring the shit out of our anxious dog. Ugh. He was all, "Oh sorry, I thought it was only 9:00 or 9:30!" Lol.
Not much planned for the weekend except entertaining the toddler since H will be working on the basement all weekend. I need to put together a couple storage units for DD's room, but then her room will be DONE.
callmehales Whats your body shape? I need new jeans!
I'm a tall apple....fairly straight up and down from the sides, but I carry any extra weight in my belly. I can normally wear a 12 or 14, and I went with a 14 for these for a little extra room so I wouldn't feel like my organs were being smudged inside me.
Someone on my FB posted about this Christian based health "insurance" last night. It's not really insurance it is a cost sharing plan. I can't stop reading about it, it seems like such a bad idea. If they have more "needs" than the monthly money that is supposed to be submitted by members then even eligible expenses aren't completely covered that month. But the part that really got me was where they talk about eligible vs ineligible expenses. They specifically call out termination of an ectopic pregnancy as an ineligible expense because it causes the death of an unborn child. It even says that considerstions for the health or life of the mother do not change that the removal of the "living unborn child" from the mother is a termination of life. W t absolute f.
Ugh, DD's daycare doesn't have any openings for an infant until August, and we need a spot in April. Is everyone calling the instant they get a positive test? We reserved a spot for DD only four months in advance, so I wasn't at all worried about getting a spot for the new baby, especially since we get sibling priority. Not sure what we're going to do now.

The absolute worst: gearing myself up for BodyPump class, driving there, getting all my weights ready. Start the class, start getting into it... And the power goes out and they kick us all out. Boo!
DS was awake (and happy) at 2am, 3am, 4am & 5am. I tagged H in at 5am. DS didn't go down for his first nap of the day until 7:30am after waking for the day at 5am.

Also DD's favorite teacher is leaving. Boo.
When I was calling daycares, one place was literally booked through such that you need to be not pregnant yet to get on their list.
Daycare is closed for vacation so I'm home with the kids today. We had breakfast, played Hot Wheels, and then D napped, C watched The Little Mermaid, and I balanced our budget in YNAB. We were expecting a small paycheck for H because of his vacation (he normally works an extra day each week that he didn't take PTO for), but it was unexpectedly bigger than normal due to an annual overtime deposit of some sort. Sweet!
When D wakes up I think we're going to go to Panera and bring it to the park for a picnic. cincodemayo Are you off today? If so and no plans you should join us!
